Roofe gets a European 4 game ban, Kamara 3 games, Kudela the racist 10 games

That is utterly ridiculous.  Typical stupidity from UEFA.  One ban has an impact on the player's country, who weren't involved in the incident or match in question at all, but all of that means that he will be available sooner for his club, who WERE involved in sad match (and, worse, his club actually made ridiculous statements defending him)….. the other ban, for the victim of racist abuse, sees him eligible for his country (which I am glad for Kamara;s sake) but his club are the ones who suffer as he is ineligible for games which could be pivotal.

UEFA couldn't organize the proverbial piss up in a brewery !

I think, and I stand to be corrected, that Kudela can only be banned for games in which he is eligible to play. If he is not in the Czechs' final and registered pool of players for the Euros, then he cannot be banned for these matches.

The Czech coach is unlikely to select a player who will automatically be suspended, leaving himself a man short.

UEFA may have been clever. The ban means that he doesn't get picked for the Euros so it means that none of the ban is used up by international games, so he misses 10 games for Slavia AND the Euros.

I agree.

I've said as much above.

To be banned from the Euros, he'd have to be selected for the Euros......and if he is selected for the Euros, then he is banned.

I assume UEFA thought they were handing him a sterner punishment (no laughing at the back) by carrying over the punishment into the international arena, therefore forcing him to miss out on what would be a huge highlight of his playing career.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is allowed to reduce his ban by the number of games his country play this summer, even though he wasn't selected for them. "UEFA Love Racists" should be their new motto.
