People in glass houses.. This would have been under Kings watch no?

RANGERS football club are being sued by a former kit supplier for more than £9.5million in lost sales.

The figure is detailed in paperwork lodged by briefs representing Elite Sports Ltd, the company behind Hummel sportswear.

Lawyers representing the Danish company started proceedings yesterday at the Court of Session in Edinburgh to have sales figures released to them.

It’s understood the loss is connected with sales at stores on Argyle Street in Glasgow, a store in Belfast and online.

The court was told how Rangers entered into the contract in September 2018 and a decision by a court in London just six weeks later resulted in the Glasgow club “not performing” in the agreement.

During the hearing, David Thomson KC, who was representing the sportswear firm, told Lord Braid that his client is still unaware of “exact sales figures” but the judge has now passed an order forcing the Ibrox side to disclose sales figures.

In typical Rangers fashion, we are all quick to take one side and once we have chosen a side, the other side are automatically wrong.

We have current board and fan media v King and Club1872 and fans are lining up behind either option and dismissing the other sides opinions.

We are nothing if nothing if not predictable - the carcrash / soap-opra continues and, no signs of it stopping and it now looks like the fanbase is going to be even more fractured than before.

The current board are horrific at simply things like communication, PR, fan engagement, ticketing, catering, disabled access, safe standing etc, and it doesn't take Dave King or Club1872 to highlight this, their deficiencies are staring us in the face on a day to day basis.

You talk like the fans are judge and jury in these matters and that, if only we could agree who to blame, we could bring to bear the full might of fan power and drive the directors and the shareholders who appoint them out of Ibrox forever. When in actual fact the views of ordinary fans count for squat if they continue buying tickets and shirts.

I think the fans deserve the "best in class' in the areas highlighted above. In fact we've been promised this by the current board. It's their mantra.

I know we can't chase the board, but we can certainly make the accountable for the terrible service they continue to provide in many areas.

Would you (I understand you don't like answering questions) grade the current board and "pillars" of the club as best in class (or getting there) in the areas above?

We can either make them accountable by calling them out or we can pay up, shut up and accept a sub-standard service.

I've increasingly little interest in what King has to say.

When your primary motivation is recouping money then your opinions don't often make for sympathetic reading. It's a real pity Club1872 have become his cheerleader instead of remaining neutral.

Of course we should be critiquing the board where necessary but I'm unconvinced by King and he has no-one to blame but himself for that.

Nail on head.

His opposition to Resolution 8 is particularly galling given how big a part the equivalent previous resolutions have played in harvesting investment into the Club especially at the beginning of regime change.

He has no intention of investing another penny in us but seems determined to stop others from doing so in case it lessens the chances of recouping his money in the shorter term.
