Confirmed: Michael Beale named Rangers manager

Recommended Posts

Key points we haven't really looked at in this appointment. Beale and Banfield have a proven track record of being youth development orientated. Banfield worked under Wenger at Arsenal for years developing the likes of Fabregas & co.

If we are serious about player trading we need a management who are bought in. I think they will be. Obviously they have to be bought in to winning silverware too. The more I think about this appointment the more I think it makes sense. 100% behind them and looking forward to seeing what unfolds.

What makes you say that?

Banfield's experience looks OK, but he seems 'old-school'.

Watling has no experience and even that is at a poor level.

(Can you delete my OP? I split my comments from the other thread into this one, but it's taken over the OP! Sorry!)

Any more embarrassing than the glut of mediocrity standing behind Gio those season Rousseau?.

On paper, GvB's backroom team looked good.

Going by what they did, no - especially the fitness coach.

Hopefully Beale brings Culshaw and Milsom back.
