The Summer 2023 Rangers Transfer Window Rumours and Deals - Thread

Recommended Posts

Someone made a good point about the players Lammers has been competing with over the last few years: Santos Borre, Lindstrom; Quagliarella, Gabbiadini; Jese Rodriguez, Luis Muriel, Lookman, Hojlund, Zapata.

Top class strikers.

Man Utd are looking at Hojland from £40M.

At the end of October we will still be looking at stats.

It's just going to be a retrospective on x-C (expected complaints) and x-D (expected denial - a personal favourite).

Dude here going hard on the defence of a player no one knows. We are all going on stats, and the major ones for his role are not really just underwhelming, they are entirely at the wrong end of the scale. That doesn't mean he can't be a success, but of course I'm hardly excited to be signing a forward who hasn't been able to finish or assist for 3 years.

Calm down.

I'm just asking what the stats are?

You said 'stats', which suggests you have an array of stats, but I assumed, rightly, that you just meant one stat in particular. I wanted to clear that up.

Well, where the goals return is poor you expect to see the creative stats make up for it. That’s not the case here, there are a myriad of creative stats that are very poor, some that are acceptable.

Or you maybe look for signs that he’s been unlucky with goals, but it doesn’t look like he has been unlucky. In the 11th percentile for non-pen xG, also the 11th for shots on target % (the Dutch Kent), 7th percentile for miscontrols another one that stands out.

He's clearly good at dribbling and tackling.
