Arfield opening a pub

Do we need another pub there? Is all it's going to do is dilute the Louden clientele and make it less likely for it to survive? The Louden isn't open every day so it must struggle to make ends meet.

I believe that Robert Marshall is advising SA on this. Robert is of the mind that more pubs in area means more clientele.

Rab would know far more than me about such things but I'm surprised about that.

A pub next a a football stadium has a guaranteed customer base, on certain days.

Why do we have to be negative about everything?

I don't know what the price of a pint is, let alone the profit contribution, but I'd like to know how many pints he would need to sell to make a living. As someone else has said, there must be a lot of better investment opportunities.

Maybe Arfield thinks this will be an enjoyable venture and isn't too concerned about profits.

He probably has enough money to do this, invest in stocks in shares and buy some property.

I find the Louden a bit tacky and other options, in close proximity, to Ibrox would be good.

I want fewer pubs and more coffee shops, which I reckon are far more profitable.
