And, in my opinion, there is a benefit to having more possession: we have the ball more and our opponent has the ball less. Although, anything can happen in a one-off game.

I agree but Mourinho would argue that if you have possession you are more likely to make mistakes which the opposition can exploit.

Russell Martin says he "doesn't see a reason to change" the Rangers captaincy.

The head coach, who played with Tavernier at lbrox, has been discussing the right-back's role at Ibrox.

Let that sink in lads , just in the door and makes that statement.

I gave him to October , it might be sooner.

True.

As always, it depends what you do with it.

So, he gets asked that question, and goes the opposite way, 'Aye, Tavs legs are gone, I'll be hunting him'.

You've alienated an unknown proportion of your dressing room, before you've even met them.

Martin will pick his players, not out of sentiment. If he does, it's his job on the line.

Stop analysing every wee word, words don't matter  performances and results do.

The clever man wouldnt have answered or spoke about Tavernier at all , but now hes said he sees no reason to change the captaincy and that only means hes going nowhere and hes still going to captain the team. Its the same mistake all the other managers made.

Only a matter of time till Tavernier sees off another clueless manager.

One day, maybe soon, maybe not, someone at Ibrox is going to make a statement, or a throw away line that's not going to trigger Rangers Das.

Maybe, just maybe, it's not successive managers, countless teammates, opposition players and managers that are clueless about Tav...........

Keep on defending the guy , we are winning nothing again if hes still at the club and captain of the side , no matter who the manager is.

Really, did you apply for the Managers role? If all it takes to being successful is getting rid of Tav, you'd be a shoe-in for the job.

See when John Greig was Rangers captain during Celtics 9-in-a-row, were we clueless keeping him?
