As were Blackburn and Boavista, and Liverpool weren't exactly at the top of their game either (although winning at Anfield in Europe is an achievement even Celtic deserve praise for). Not one soul can say the likes of Werder Bremen, Sportling Lisbon and Fiorentina (maybe to a lesser extent Pana) are poorer teams than that lot.. and the truth is there's quite a large quality gap. 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

The thing is, it's only the UEFA cup, but for any Scottish team to get to the final is fantastic. I wasn't dissing Celtic when they got there, and they have no reason to diss us. There are no easy teams in the last 16 of a Euro tournament and we know that in spades. We had a great squad under Advocaat but we couldn't get past the last 16 every year. Celtic did a fantastic job to get to the final and we recognise it, if they don't recognise us then they are showing themselves up for what they are and I think that will be the case. 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
