Rangers fan fury at SPL fixture shambles

Recommended Posts

RANGERS fans chief Jim Templeton today reacted with fury as the SPL unveiled the fixtures for the new 2008/2009 season.

He branded the governing body a "complete shambles" after they handed the Ibrox side three away games out of four in the first month of the season - including trips to Pittodrie and Parkhead on either side of a potential £10m Champions League qualification decider on August 27.

I'm not a fan of Templeton, but good to see him making some good points. This is obviously payback for us daring to question them last season.

Wouldn't be a surprise if that was the case but it is funny how the chairman talked about sorting out Gold over the summer and yet the fixtures still seem weighed against us...

As such he should be taking the lead over the issue - not sending out supporters reps.

Nothing has been played yet, why don't we ask for the games to be cancelled so we can prepare!!

Ok that was a piss take, but we should ask for ties to be changed NOW!

Agreed. Perhaps he's too busy getting articles printed in the Record about the RST.
