portsmouth v liverpool

Sure I saw on SSN that he is the 4th highest player in terms of transfers

Jon what did you mean by this?? By the amount of teams he has moved to???

Who was top?

Bellamy and Anelka must be up there. And Diarra is climbing the lists. These players certainly arent aiming for any testamonials are they!!

As for Liverpool, lucky fooks. 2 weeks in a row they have nicked games in the last few mins. They have no chance in the league even after West Ham do them a favour today.

Liverpool are also lucky that Chelsea and Arsenal arnt the same teams this season

In terms of the total amount of transfer fees paid for his services thoughout his career, think he was something like £78m

I 'think' Anelka was top on £96m but wish I'd paid more attention to the list.

Just watching the highlights again, I can't believe the Babel miss.

I've never understodd why a player when a ball is coming across the way it did, will try and use his wrong foot. If he had let the ball run he could have easily side footed the ball into the empty net with his left foot.

Shocking miss all the same.

Would be interesting to know the list of players who have moved the most and another list in the cost of transfer fees.

These players must be minted with signing on fees. I think there should be a rule in contracts which say if a player leaves within a certain time then he should pay back a percentage of his transfer fee.

Arshavin is rumoured to have paid 1 million to St Petersburg.

Bellamy got a huge signing on fee from West Ham then got approx 50k a week while out injured for months the upsticks and leaves

Meant to add, felt a wee bit sorry for Adams cos I like him and in all honesty they didn't deserve to lose that game.

Distin had an absolute shocker though!!

Then edit your post rather than post again which looks like you chat with yourself :fish:

But I agree, I like Adams aswell. Seems to have got his head screwed on a lot more now that when he was a player. He isnt management material though, he is a good No.2

Can't find the stats on the Skysports website, but sure both Bellamy and Keane were ahead of Ronaldo and Zidane but maybe more because of the money in the game now.

Its bugging me that I cant remember the top 4 though

Edit: Trying to think of players who could be in the top 10. Henry, Ferdinand, Tevez?, Veron, Stam, Deco

About all I can come up with at the moment.
