If you are talking 'British league record' then Van de Sar had already broken that as you have to remove the 90 minutes in Monchengladbach from Rangers (Woods's) record if your just talking league matches. Bobby Clark, a former Scotland international, went 1,155 minutes without conceding between the Aberdeen posts in the 1970-71 Scottish first division season ... Ah right.
