Dave King is, as a matter of plain fact, a dog who has had his day. This may be a cause of regret, or of rejoicing, but that is a debate for elsewhere, one with which I would, almost certainly, decline to engage. As he leaves the building, his response to questioning, on appointment of a coach, or indeed on any other matters pertaining to the future running of the Club, should have been short, simple, and to the point: 'It's not my call - ask the new guys on the block. I will keep my own counsel, unless they ask for my opinion, or advice.' That would have been both polite, and politic.

No one is trying to. You're misinterpreting me here, Dave King is ego tripping making out as if he's still important, the "kingmaker" of this transaction if you will, and trying to dictate who would be the best manager for the situation we're going to find ourselves in. When in reality, he's a big toys out the pram merchant that walked away when it mattered most and allowed Douglas Park to take liberties. The sooner he shuts up, concludes his side of selling his shares, and moves on, frankly the better.

No I don't. I don't think anyone can deny he was part of the initial discussions regarding this "take-over". And again, we asked questions (by Talksport) and he gave answers. You have a choice, you can listen to him or you can ignore him.

Sounds a bit like the Borg. What with Picard as CEO and now the Borg working with the players, we are becoming Star Trek.

When he's talking about our new owners funding, saying he had to make sure they had the right funds and pleading for them to make this choice as manager, you don't get why it annoys people? He's trying to micromanage on his way out the door. Let them do what they want to do. King, Park etc, left us a fucking mess. His opinions are irrelevant.

Dave King is entitled to his opinion. I'd probably back Gerrard too if I were in his position. Still don't want him personally though, lots of question marks over him.
