Hes not CL quality. And as i said winning the spfl is no gauge of how good a team you are. We need a better calibre of player for where we want to be. Hes not it.

I fear tavenier hit his peak last season and ive never rated barasic as much as the manager. Goldson is apparently chasing a three year contract. Is he worth it at his age? I dont think so. I thank these players for their service but i fear this season as well as others that this season might be a bridge too far for them.

Rumours are porto will be back in for morelos again with a 15 million bid. To be honest it will probably be better if he left. The saga has been dragging on for far too long now and as much as id like him to stay i dont want players that dont want to be here. Ive never been a fan of the 4 3 3 formation. It got us so far in the Europa league but as soon as you come up against a certain level of opposition weve came unstuck. Leverkusen schooled us , sparta prague mugged us and again tonight we got rolled over. This season weve been weve been found out . Livingston for large parts of the game contained us very easily forcing us out wide and soaking up the crosses. A pattern which was very evident against Dundee utd and in both ties against malmo. Were very predictable. You can read us like a bloody book. Is it too much to ask for a flexability from time to time? Teams are shutting us down very easily and if we dont wisen up fast we will pay a heavy price.

I had a conversation with a mate pre season and said our defence was no where near good enough for the Cl and that i did not rate tav goldson and barasic as highly as the manager. I have been proven correct. I fear they had their swan song last season and as for barasic, hes bang average. Problem is theyre first team picks.

Would have sakala on for kent. And hagi on for arfield. I think we will have to be very clever with our subs tonight. One of our weaknesses is leaving it to late or not making the right changes.

There were quite a few on here who were surprised by the line up before the game. I commented myself that there was little on the bench to turn the game should we run into trouble. Had our manager managed his subs better we might have salvaged something from the game. The way he threw players on in the end was embarrasing.

Mind how you go mate or the gersnet mafia will be in cracking down on you. The 433 must be adhered to no matter what! We need to be more flexible in our set up. The ease in which malmo snuffed our attack out was alarming. Even more alarming is bang average spfl teams are doing it too. It got us so far in the Europa league but once we got to the quarters we got found out. Against malmo we struggled to create chances and at half time their manager changed his formation and rattled two past us before we adapted. Why cant we do that? Were so rigid in our setup to the point that i could pick the team that will play on tuesday. Our recent poor form isnt just down to key players not performing. You can read us like a book at the minute.

I would love to give kelly a chance but i cant see that happening. Our track record with our home growns is horrendous

For what its worth i dont rate barasic as highly as the manager. He had a purple patch at the beginning of last season but dropped off as the season went on. As for lundstrom, hes waltzed right into the side on his reputation and has failed to deliver. Maybe we should ask malmo to give him an easy ride till he settles in. If hes picked that is.

Same as malmo. Oustanding last season but hes struggling badly at the moment.

We had one or two chances to score but never took them. But we have to be smarter with our substitutions. Lundstrom (who i think will disappear as the season goes on) and kent should have been hooked a lot sooner. Sheer desperation in the end.

I wouldnt start kent aganst maimo. He set his own standards last season but hes no where near them now.
