  1. That sort of rubbish provides the perfect opportunity to close this thread. We can use the transfer rumours thread for posting and discussing transfer rumours.
  2. Yep, apparently he regularly wins these type of tests and exercises.
  3. Absolutely. It's probably something akin to trying to walk up a mountain with your hands tied behind your back.
  4. Wallace and Nash were both vastly more experienced in the hands-on and day-to-day running of a large football club because they had previously held CEO & CFO positions at top 6 EPL clubs like Man City, Arsenal & Liverpool. Dave King & Paul Murray on the other hand, had only previously been non-executive directors of Rangers and neither had dealt directly with day-to-day operations, operational planning or restructuring. That's presumably why they drafted in Stewart Robertson as a consultant in March and recently gave him a permanent position. Bottom line for me is that sorting out the mountain of clusterfucks left behind by previous regimes is going to take time. Wallace and Nash, two highly experienced football club execs were struggling to sort out the mess, so it's unfair to expect the new board to do any better in shorter space of time.
  5. And a bit more digging reveals that the diamond pattern template is a ligit member of Puma's 2015/16 'Teamware Kits' called "Puma Swerve". Here's an article about Puma's 15/16 teamware kits from back in mid January - http://www.footyheadlines.com/2015/01/puma-15-16-teamwear-kits.html
  6. Here's a couple of side by side images for comparison....
  7. The cull was as severe as the Club could afford. As far as we know, every single first team player who was out of contract was released. They need time and they need our patience mate. The new board hasn't even been in place for 4 months which is less time than Wallace and Nash needed to go through the business and come up with little more than a somewhat wooly business review.
  8. Right folks, so getting this leaked 3rd kit subject back on topic I just found this article from 19th May. The main error in the article is what they assume is going to be the third kit is actually exactly the same design template as our new Rangers training kit, so presumably that will be Newcastle's new training kit, not their 3rd kit which is actually navy & pink. Anyway, this adds even more veracity to the legitimacy of the leaked purple Rangers kit photos. http://www.whoateallthepies.tv/kits/214195/newcastle-201516-kit-contains-worrying-amounts-of-glasgow-rangers-blue-leaked-photos.html
  9. Thankfully that's beginning to change and within a reasonably short period of time as well. With the new ownership structure, new board, new management team, new players starting to come in and a lot of dead wood we've been crying out to have shipped out having now been shipped out, there's a lot more to be positive about.
  10. Wearing the no.6. Looks like Dean Shiels. That's Danny Wilson.
  11. Sunday, 28 June 2015 10:00 Walsh: I Can't Wait For New Season Written by Nick Thomson PRE-SEASON may have only begun at Murray Park for the Rangers first-team yesterday, but Tom Walsh has admitted he is already itching for the competitive action to get under way. The young midfielder featured numerous times towards the end of last season as Rangers narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premiership, and he will be hoping to play his part in the first real game of the season in the first round of the Petrofac Training Cup on July 25. Speaking to RangersTV.tv, Walsh said: “Now we’re back involved, I can’t wait. It’s a while away, and there will be a lot of hard work in between, but we’re looking forward to it. “Come then we’ll be confident whoever we play. We’ll have a set team and a way we want to play by that point, so we’ll be ready for it.” Walsh and his teammates, which included new signings Danny Wilson and Rob Kiernan, are being put through their paces by the club’s fitness and medical staff at Murray Park, and contrary to the standard tales of footballers loathing pre-season, the 18 year-old revealed to us that he’s actually glad to be back to work again. He continued: “It was hard going as you can imagine. The first day back for pre-season is never easy. “But it was good and I’m glad to get back into the swing of things.” Yesterday was, of course, the first time the players had met new manager Mark Warburton and assistant David Weir, and Walsh was immediately impressed with their approach, although he knows he and the other players have a job on their hands to convince the duo that they are worthy of a place in the starting XI. Walsh explained: “The gaffer has set high standards throughout the club. He’s told us how he wants the environment to be around the club and also the way we’re going to play, so that was really encouraging. “You can only look up to someone like David who had such a long career and played at the highest level. “We’re all fighting tooth and nail to get in the team – especially with the new manager being here, so we’ve got to go into training, work hard, and when the games come, we’ve got to try and impress. “It was disappointing not to go up last year, but for myself, it was good to get games. “Now it’s time to step up to the next level and really show what I can do.” http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/9536-walsh-i-cant-wait-for-new-season
  12. Unfortunately Lucy, yes I do think that's unrealistic. Sadly, our fans can't properly unite on anything. Even in the Club's darkest hours we've had folk bickering with each other and causing trouble over mostly trivial shite.
  13. I may be wrong D'Art - it certainly wouldn't be the first time - but personally, I think we've come to a point where 'transparency' is little more than a fashionable buzz word. Directors talk about it, fans groups talk about it and fans themselves talk about it, but the truth of the matter is that we're never going to get total transparency. It's a pipe dream; a complete fallacy. We can crave it, covet it and pine for it all we like, but it ain't going to happen. I'm not saying we should simply accept that stark reality, shut up and forget about demanding better from the Club's custodians, but we do need to be realistic and expecting total transparency just is not realistic at all.
  14. My sarcasm radar is fully functional, thanks dB. Beep beep beep! See?
  15. If the new management team brought back Jig they could cost the club thousands of season tickets, so I doubt it's even on the cards. Jig's just not in hurry to sign for another club because Rangers made him a millionaire. He's a 37 year old who's so rich he doesn't need to work.
  16. It's Tom Walsh and the lad behind him in the photo (to the left of Gallagher as he runs) is Ryan Sinnamon.
  17. You weren't being mischievously facetious and sarcastic?
  18. Good man 26th, thanks! That's your name down for the St Mirren game.
  19. They could have just opened it up to everyone and instead of saying 'win a renewal' just said 'win a season ticket'. That would probably have made more sense, although I have to say that the timing of the competition doesn't make any sense anyway. We're coming up to the end of the month when folk get paid and also approaching the ST renewal deadline, so it's a stupid idea to have hundreds of folk entering a competition to win a free renewal at this point in time. Really dumb idea.
  20. Sarcasm is only the lowest form of wit when you're not very good at it!
  21. There's only a few weeks tae the first gemme FFS!
  22. Well, I don't wish him harm or ill fate, but I didn't want him playing for us, so I'm delighted that he's left. I hope he finds another club, but if he does, then I hope his new club know they've signed a total and utter clown.
  23. He was supposedly the greatest British footballer of his generation.
  24. What an amazing turnout! Incredible stuff!
