Reading between the lines from his interviews yesterday, I think King will be just 'giving' the club money. He's not looking for anything back as such. It could be called 'investment' but in reality it would appear that he will simply be giving 'donations' where/when needed.

Getting over 30k ST's sold will be a huge achievement IMO. Much depends on managerial appointment. If it's a McCall, Mcinnes, Davies, McCleish then it will be underwhelming for the support.

I just think that many will simply not be interested in getting a ST to attend games against Dumbarton, Alloa, Livingston, Raith etc. I don't think many will be too interested at last season's prices - but if there is a bit on an increase i think many will just forget it.

If that is the case then crowds will be really pretty low next season.

And the former England Under-21 starlet will raise his hat to Rangers if they appoint Mark Warburton because they will have a boss to transform their club and challenge Celtic within two seasons. Lee has offered an insight into the modern methods of Warburton, which almost paid off when he led the Bees to the brink of the Premier League last season, only to lose to Middlesbrough in the play-offs. It was a remarkable campaign for the club, who had won promotion 12 months earlier and been tipped for a return to the third tier. Lee said: “We massively over-achieved last season given the fact our wage bill was one of the smallest in the Championship. But he doesn’t need business tips after he persuaded Bannatyne to invest six figures in his Dr Cap business, which continues to thrive, along with his coffee retail start-up Organo Gold. It didn’t happen but the business is still alive and kicking.” The fact Warburton is doing likewise in the fevered 
environment of football after years in the financial markets convinces Lee his former gaffer would have no issues handling Glasgow’s goldfish bowl. He added: “You see so many managers crumble but not Mark. He realises it’s football, just a game. Rangers are a big step up from Brentford but they would be the perfect match. “Rangers are a massive club and it’s a shame what has happened to them in recent years but they’ll soon be on the verge of greatness again if Mark gets the job. “It would be easy to throw silly money at big-name players but that would only take the club back to the place from which they have only recently emerged. “Mark’s work is focused on working with hungry young players, building a system from the bottom up throughout the club that develops quality at youth level with a modern approach and a structured training regime. “Within a couple of years, he would get Rangers back to the 
top of the Premiership.”

This is the way I see it mate as well mate. The more I think about it, the more he becomes a very, very good fit for exactly what we are needing right now and in the coming few years.

If we miss out on Warburton it will be a real shame. There is huge intelligence in that man. As I mentioned the other night - I know a current Brentofrd player very well and Warburton signed him last summer. The player moved there largely becuase of Warburton. And the player - although largely used coming off the bench - was not disappointed one bit with Warbuton's input, intelliegence, methodology and overall football philosophy. This player is coming to the end of his career now and has played for a number of English Premier League and Championship clubs but says he wishes he had worked with Warburton for much longer.

Mark Warburton was the creator of the NextGen Series - a European football club cup competition for under-19 footballers. It was designed to provide players with the opportunity to match themselves against other elite European footballers of their age group in a competitive environment. I doubt if Stuart McCall could organise the Next clearance Sale !!!

Surely the board will want their own man in this new era for the club. Sorry, but by appointing McCall, all it would do would decrease attendances even more. King is an intelligent man - he will want someone other than McCall.

Absolutely not. We need genuine intelligence in the dugout and on the training pitch. McCall does not fit that bill and I want him gone.

The good thing about all of this is that it certainly looks less and less likely that McCall will be staying. The new board will want their own appointment and put down their own stamp on the football side - so thankfully it looks like McCall will be gone, which is a huge positive for me as I was nervous a few weeks ago when noises seemed to suggest he'd be kept on.

To a man, every single Brentford player was absolutely gutted with Warburton leaving. That's a decent insight into how highly he was respected.

From what I'm told, the players wanted to play for Warburton. And I mean, genuinely wanted to play for him. 'Firm, but fair' is how he is described. An ' ideas man' who wants to play 'football'. Hope we don't miss out on him. I wasn't sure about Weir as a coach previously but I have heard very good things about him this season which have encouraged me. They seem like a very, very good combination and sound like exactly what we need right now.

For the record and without going into too much detail, I know a current Brentford player, who Warburton signed last summer. He has been massively impressed by Warburton, and this is from a guy who has played all over England in Premiership and Championship. Warburton has intelligence - which we have been lacking in the dugout for years. He also commands huge respect from his playing staff. I think it may happen and hope it does.

Yes - they were recruited to do a job and failed miserably. Finishing 3rd in a pub league (barely Conference standard) and winning only 2 games out of 6 play off games was an utter disgarce - as was their fitness, professionalism, effort, detemination, passion, commitment and basic skills !!

The only players from the squad that I'd look forward to seeing in a Rangers jersey next season would be Murdoch, Walsh and Hardie. I couldn't care less about the rest and would like to see them all gone. Failures every one of them.

Hopefully they can somehow be moved out by end of August - and I'd actually include Lee Wallace in that.
