TV money has everything to do with it. For example pre-Sky football in the 90s Manchester United couldn't afford to compete with us over Archie Knox. We were the richest club in Britain, capable of handling the champions of England and knocking them out of the Champions League. Sky changed the scope of everything. Other countries giving large deals out for TV money to follow suit, some countries even getting state and royal funding, see Saudi, Spain etc. Don't need to try and get political with it, TV money did it 😂

This squad of players only care about themselves and the bigger games where they can put themselves in the window or create some buzz for their careers. The only games the players get themselves up for are European games and celtic games, everything else seems to be below them/not worth their time.
