  1. Davis - 3 million

    McGregor - 5 million

    Naismith - 4 million

Just those 3, even with conservative values, have seen 10 million quid walk out the door - and the SPL/SFA say that we deserve MORE punishment. Cunts, the lot of them.

They may as well just re-instate the embargo - looks like my 7yr old might be on the bench at Ibrox next season - may not be for an SFA/SFL regulated game but there ya go.

Depressing. But, as I have said previously, expected.

I will say this.... the actions of McGregor, especially, have kind of increased my suspicion levels around what Green's plans are. No, I am not anti-Green, but McGregor was one of the few players (along with Naismith, for me at least) who I thought might stick with us even if we dropped a division. McGregor is certainly one of us too. So why ?

Or could it be to force Green's hand. Lets not forget that these players could still end up signing for Rangers..... under new ownership. I am not saying it will happen but there is nothing to stop any of these players still signing for us in the event Green says "fuck it, I dont need the hassle - here, McColl, give me my 8 million, there's the keys, good luck".

Wishful thinking ? Course it is. I would have built my team around McGregor and Naismith.

There is something sinister most of our squad have walked out and not giving the club a penny. I don't know what Green has said or done to them to make them feel this way, obviously the influence of agents isn't helping the situation. Wallace wouldn't be staying either if his wife/girlfriend wasn't having a kid or there was another club available in this country. McCulloch doesn't have much time left with his career and probably just winding down.

  2. ssn another 8 to walk in the next 24 - 48hrs.

won't leave us with much. how many left at the end of the season. papac?

As far I know that was the only one confirmed.

I am disappointed that they guys are leaving but again not surprised. More disappointed by McCabe than Aluko even though nobody was picking Aluko up.

  3. <shrug>

Credit for these teams for at least getting this done. There seems no reason to wait another 14 days or whatever - if they don't know how they're voting by now, they'll never know.

Incidentally, I heard a thing about DUFC's season ticket sales being done, how they are usually about 4,000 at this point. Tells its own story - they have approx. 1/10 of our season ticket support, and at a guess about 1/100 of our overall fanbase. Its for that reason that they'll spent 99% of their time in our shadow. Doubtless they are enjoying their 1% just now, mind you!

Agreed, but its probably deciding what to do with us that is taking 14 days.

  4. Apparently the SPL's own bureaucracy meant that following Green's CVA failure they had to call a meeting today to formally arrange the voting meeting in 14 days time.

What a farce I thought the decision was today, not to organise a meeting for another meeting i mean ffs.

  5. Then he is a raging hypcrite. But still not a relevant one, despite some airtime. Just because you work for the BBC and possess an opinion, it doesn't mean people take it seriously. Look at Chick ffs! He's the most lampooned guy around and he is in as big a position as Spence, if not bigger.

You may not read his blog or listen to him, you aren't the only one, myself included. However others do and a person who has the job within the media has to give an impartial view, as he is a reporter and he managed to do that with his rival club but not us, poor editing standards, plus he is given the platform to spout nonsense as well.

Don't get me started on Chick or Richard Gordon...

  6. The SPL option would depend for me. If its a straight vote then they allow us back in then thats obviously where we want to be. But if they only vote us back in due to the TV money excuse then they can jog on and Id prefer the SFL.

Being in Div 1 or 3 is possibility....Putting us in Div 1 gives the so called fans of other clubs the satisfaction of seeing Rangers relegated and not getting off but at same time probably only stops the income of TV and attendance for only 1 season.

But Im inclined to start again in Div 3 and have the rebuilding process of a fresh start. We wont have European football if we stay in SPL so why not run up the leagues while we cant play European football. At the same time the SFL clubs like Alloa, East Stirling get a nice pay day and we can be seen as helping them out rather than lining the pockets of Dundee Utd, Kilmarnock and Aberdeen for 3 years.

Yeah putting us Division 1 would mean Sky can accept that, any longer then they would rip up the deal, I think I read that somewhere.

I am hugely undecided but we have so many bitter twats in the SPL wanting to bring as much punishment on us whilst taking money off us and rising tickets prices for the privilege of us visiting them. I feel being in the SPL would stagnate us as well no European football is a bit of a killer for attracting targets, plus the possible extra points deductions.

Being in Div 3 helps the little clubs but in some ways some of them are just as bad as the SPL diddies but they don't get the press time. Crowds would reduce because some of the fans wont see glory. Also the desperation of the SFA again to change the structure of the bodies so we come into their jurisdiction makes everything questionable.
