  1. Listen please folks, if anyone has a problem with the standards on RM or any other Rangers forum, then take your issues up directly with their Admin team.

Gersnet is a forum with a long-standing policy of asking our members not to bad mouth other Rangers forums in your posts here.

If the Admin of other forums allow their members to slag off this site and other sites that's their prerogative, but Gersnet will not be brought down to that level.

This forum has numerous members who are also members of other Gers forums including RM, FF, VB & DTB to name only four.

We're not interested in getting into inter-forum slanging matches, so please let discussions elsewhere stay there.

There's that saying "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas". Please replace 'Vegas' with a forum name and take note.

This is applies to everyone here.

Are we allowed to flick the vicky in jest and sit back while some get their knickers in a twist? :D I jest!

  2. Yeah, that was my point.

I don't doubt the RFB was constituted well enough and it clearly had elections but in terms of a percentage of the support, clearly the figures are very low so I don't think anyone on the RFB can lay claim to huge credibility in that regard.

Jim Hannah used to big up the Assembly yet their elections were never in public or generally known to the fan base online who are most likely to be aware of goings on. I doubt very much few polling numbers will get in the way of his new toy. He helped screwed the Assembly via his agenda and side taking, this time I'd hazard a guess that the RFB has even more willing monkeys (FS the exception). I've heard he takes very little to do with the RFFF, probably IMO because he can't control the people on the committee.

For the RFB to regain credibility all club employees must take a back seat after office bearing elections and then supporters can start judging if the fans board has the interests of fans or directors.

  3. Rumours are we offered Gordon a more than fair weekly wage to sign and he turned it down.

Not a surprise really as at that time Cammy Bell was first choice so Gordon probably wouldn't have played. Meanwhile, at Celtic, he knew Forster would leave so was then up against Zaluskas for the number 1 role.

All's fair in love and football.

PS: I've always felt Gordon was over-rated.

I'd agree with being over-rated but I also think Gordon's much better than Cammy Bell. Although Gordon's fitness was never guaranteed so making him number 1 would have been risky.

  4. Will we see movement on those fronts this week?

I could be miles off but I see it as....

    1. SFA grant permission for Ashley to increase his holding above 10%

    2. Easdales possibly sell theirs to Ashley and depart

    3. Chosen CEO employed

    4. Accounts published

    5. AGM date announced with many moonbeams

  5. That's probably part of it, but it's not the first time they've played the victim card and run to the law.

Threatening Gers forums, sites and individual fans with legal action appears to have become a regular feature of the Easdales' interaction with our fans.

Oh yes, I forgot about that. Sensitive little souls.

  6. Football Club directors and team managers get verbal abuse from disgruntled fans all the time, all over the world.

It's totally classless of the Easdales to take the matter to the police & the press, but sadly that's just the type of guys they are.

I'm not condoning verbal abuse or threats, but for goodness sake, if they can't take some verbal from fans of the club, then they should GTF.

Most likely the work of their Cuban heeled publicist.

  7. They want to be seen as more respectable.

Green and co view them as ideal patsies.

They mostly bought in at 70p a share I think which has seen them become joke figures in the members lounge because of their little experience in the corporate world.

The flack they've taken, mostly brought on by themselves, has made them more determined to shaft us.

I very much doubt both brothers will ever be accepted.

Rumour is both bruvas have served their purpose and could depart soon.

  8. The fact is he was running scared because he knows he is totally incompetent and needs all the friends he can get. All we have now is a fixture pile up, recent history suggests this isn't something that will work well for us.

Cheeky edit which might make more sense. More sense to me.

Keegan is as big on Tyneside as McCoist in Govan. Ashley never once gave a fuck then and Ally knows he's either to ship up or ship out, IMO.
