I have made a correction to the OP, as it looks like I managed to confuse myself. If we finish third or fourth and win the first round tie then we would be at home in the first leg of the semi final on the 16th and if we won the semi-final then our home game in the final would be on Thursday May 28, 2015 not May 23rd. The only way we can be at home on the 23rd is if we finish 2nd and thereby play the second leg of the semi final at home. So if we go for the 16th and finish second we will be away in the first leg of the semi-final on that date and if we finish 3rd or 4th and lose the first round tie, then we would not have a game on the 16th. On the other hand if we go for the 23rd and finish 3rd or 4th we would not have a game on the 23rd if we lose the first round tie and if we win the first round tie we would be away on that date. I suppose playing at home on the 16th is still marginly more likely but any more performances like today will push the odds towards a second place finish making the 23rd the date. Anyone got a crystal ball?

OK the 16th (or Sunday 17th if the game is moved) works if we finish 3rd or 4th and win the first round game, that will be our home semi-final date. If we don't get to the play-offs or lose the first round tie it can be a wake. I would like to stick by that date even if we finish second in order to let the likes of SteveC, Charltonman and any others who are travelling a distance make arrangements. However, if we were to finish second, we would be away on the 16th so we really need to leave the date flexible for a while as we should know within the next few weeks whether there is any liklihood of finishing second. So in summary 16th or 23rd depending on results over the next few weeks.

Where is he getting that nonsense from? First we have to finish in the play-off places and then most likely beat Q0S or Falkirk in the first round. Is he just over confident or does he not actually realise how the play-offs work?

Time they were combined into Dundee City anyway. Dundee isn't big enough to support to full time SPL clubs.

If the new Board can prove that the old Board knowingly signed players who would not be fit or unlikely to be fit to play this season then the directors concerned could be held personally liable and may have committed criminal offences but in any event the Club should tear up the contracts of all bar Vuckic and Streete, send the players back with a letter addressed to Mr Ashley and cease all payments forthwith. I doubt he would sue but we may find ourselves in trouble with the football authorities although we could argue that the contracts were illegitimate. It's scandalous.

That's correct and applies equally to the SFA "fit and proper" test.

The two things are not related at all (though I am in no doubt that if successful in the Court of Session King will seek to use that as evidence before the SFA) and if anything the SFA will want to prove that they are acting independently according to their Rules.

I find it quite ridiculous that you would put a trip to Vegas ahead of the Gersnet Dinner, surely you can make other arrangements.

Don't often disagree with you but have to this time. Craig is correct. The mater is sub judice at this time so the SFA cannot act lest they prejudge or prejudice the criminal court case. They will return to it in due course and anyway who gives a sh*t about the little pr*ck with 4 kids by 3 different women at the last count.

It's been a good month (7th to 2nd) for Zappa who seems to be on an inexorable run to the No. 1 position.

The SFA will be against it that's for sure, they represent the interests of the current club owners.

You are correct that giving trusts the legal right to buy does indeed cause a lot of difficulties not the least of which is market distortion but the SG do recognise the issue which is why they were prepared to fund SDS to help provide a safety net.
