  1. Interesting and positive.
  2. Who are Scott Murdoch and John Bennet?
  3. I've read on twitter this morning............................"The Blue Knights finally getting revealed, John Bennett, Scott Murdoch and Douglas Park" Is this true?
  4. Is there a chance that there's small print and that they could actually claim the gate revenue from ticket sales if the fans decide not to buy season ticker en-mass?
  5. I'll back him with my 19 Singha's from friday night
  6. They need to be crystal clear on what the money is going towards. Is it towards helping keep the lights out in the short term Is it to help fund a take over of the club by that particular group and what will you get back from that.
  7. There's worse companies that could own us. I doubt this lot really are interested though
  8. Deffo mate, and he may say "Here's DM phone number"
  9. "The Blue Knights" is a great concept. When they first appeared i made the conscious decision to wait and see what they'd say. This last 24 hours or so has crippled the trust amongst the Rangers support judging by online chatter. I believe that you can get a fairly accurate view of the whole global Rangers families mindset with online chatter as at the end of the day we support the same team and think roughly the same. Right now TBK are on a back foot with lots of questions being asked by them. I will add that each point you've made make perfect sense, but i do believe that the administration lads will want to ensure the new owners do not have liquidation on their mind before they sell the club to them. Obviously once they've been handed the keys and the administrators have moved onto pastures new it's up to the new owners what they do. They will make it known if they do liquidise the club they're going to loose a lot of supporters which means they're going to loose cash.
  10. Totally agree mate, i still think a new owner, especially if not from these shores would obviously do his homework on us (that's a given) and may say to people, "Can you get me in touch with David Murray please" as i'm sure businessmen at that level will know a man who can. It's my view anyway mate
  11. I think you're being blinkered if you think informal chit chat doesn't happen with new owners of businesses with those that have owned them in the past? If i go on a new job i always liek to ask what the jobs like, what the bosses are like etc
  12. I agree mate, my point is more to do with a new owner having a casual chat with DM. Nothing more.
  13. Watching the rumours about "Far east investment" has had me chuckling. it seems the following countries have moved since my last geography lesson Malaysia Thailand Singapore UAE
  14. Ok mate, sorry for being a tossbag. Firstly, i don't think fans will have an actual say in who buys us, that will be the admins job. But that's not to say that who ever does buy us won't have serious fan backing both vocally and financially. In a perfect World i'd like to see all bids out in the open on "closing day" and my guess is that may well happen. We're on unchartered territory here, how many of us have actually had to deal with administration at a multimillion pound club and institution that means so many to millions around the World? Mr Dingwall has stated that it's BK or bust. I think we all can see that is stone cold lies and he's thinking of himself and his interests there. Why? Would you not agree that a guy in his position, and he is a high profile Rangers fan in the written and online sense, should say."I'm backing the Blue Knights, i think they have the right profile, financial backing, the business men to guide us, and Rangers at heart. I also encourage you to make up your own minds and listen to any other consortiums or individuals that come in for us and decide yourself what you as a Rangers fan think is the best option for our clubs future" If he said that i wouldn't have written the blog i did. In fact i'd probably have said, "Despite what Mr Dingwalls reputation is in certain sections of the fans, please listen to him in this instance, he's talking sense" is that clearer?
  15. I didn't think i needed to address such a ludicrous claim. I'll simplify it for you. (imagine this is in crayon) There's huge media interest in this, as well as the fan interest obviously . I know not everyone is competent with computers or even has access to them (mostly through choice). If and when the new buyer comes along i reckon admin will say, "The proposal is online as http://www.x......../co.uk? They'll announce that on a televised press conference. Phones will start ringing from grandparents and parents to sons daughters and everything in between to see what's being said on their computers. It's very easy to gauge a general opinion on such a huge matter relatively quickly now a day. Do you understand that?
  16. yeah and i stand by it. How can he say that the BK's or be liquidated? That's down right lies and huge misinformation that the more gullible of our support will believe. He's in this for himself as far as i'm concerned not for the greater good of Rangers Football Club and our future. If he was he'd be encouraging fans to listen to all offers before we set out our stall.
  17. he does make a fair point, but still, his buffonery in the past always makes it hard for me to take what he says seriously
  18. I thought it would. Did anyone reply?
  19. It's been said on here that Lloyds may have had DM over a barrel with his other businesses, therefor forcing him to sell to CW. Lloyds obviously don;t give a shit about how CW got the cash
  20. I think a lot of Bears miss the point of the administrators. This is their job, they do this stuff all the time. Granted this will be the first time they have had media exposure like this, but still, it's the same principle as the last administration job they were on. In fact i think they have been outstanding in the way they've handled thing now They will not allow sentiment get in the way of their decision. they will pick the right buyer for the job, no matter where he's from or who he supports. I'm for a clean break with new owners, but with strong fan connections and transparency
  21. rbr let us know if anyone replies or CnP them in here. It'll be interesting to see what they say
  22. Cheers mate, do i make sense? I have sent the link to all the twitter accounts of the various boards etc and posted it on the RST FB page. I have a relatively unbiased view on MD because i don;t really know him or what he does other than he owns FF, as i say in the blog all i read about him anywhere is very negative so i make my judgment from that I got banned from FF about 8 years ago after one post where i was accused of being a "timposter" for saying a player that got a MOTM shouldn't have and another player should have.
  23. The Blue Knight will not be getting a penny from me As we know the "Blue Knights" have been making a lot of noise in the press about buying our club. In the last 24 hours Duff and Phelps have categorically stated that there are serious bidders that have yet to raise their heads into the public eye. Some UK based, at least one in the States and one from the far east. Over night on Follow Follow Mark Dingwall has told people on there that,"It's the Blue Knights or liquidation" This is a lie. Why? Because for him to say that he would have to have know who the other bidders are, how much money they have, what their business plan is for Rangers and who they will bring into the boardroom at Ibrox. There's no chance of him knowing that. Business people keep their cards held firmly against their chest as they don't want other bidders to undercut them. How on earth Mr Dingwall can say what he has is frankly insulting and should warn us all what kind of people the "Blue Knights" have involved with them. He's treating the Rangers support with contempt. He thinks we're stupid is what i'm getting at. Do NOT be fooled people. I hold my hands up and will say i don't know much about him, but what i do know is i've yet to read anything positive about him. It's my opinion that Mr Dingwall is the cancer that keeps us as fans from uniting under one big blue umbrella. I have no doubt he's a die hard Rangers fan, but with obscured visions and ideas of gander for his own ego, which is a very dangerous thing for any Rangers fan to accept. If i am wrong about Mr Dingwall, then please let the Rangers fans know what your own PERSONAL vision is of yourself and your involvement with OUR Football Club It's now very plain to see for anyone with a brain that this guy is in this for himself. He wants to be in the boardroom at Ibrox and will do anything, and say anything to do it, that is very dangerous for Rangers fans to accept. It also seems to me that Duff and Phelps are not to convinced with the Blue Knights. They have called them out twice now in the media Here's what they said in the last 24 hours,"Clark said that only "serious bidders" would be considered by the end the week. "So anybody who has just been talking – and there are a few out there who have done a lot of talking – we want to seek them out and, as it were, put their money where their mouth is. If somebody wants to involve the media, that's fine. And if they become the owner then they can sit on the front page of all the papers saying: 'I did it.' But don't be surprised if that owner isn't one of the people that is media friendly." There's also the issue with them bringing Tickitus into the frame as a backer. That set off a huge alarm bell in my own head as well as many other Bears. Duff and Phelps have said that the money is not secured against anything to do with Rangers, and the fact that Mr Whyte used the money to pay off the bank before he owned Rangers means the chances of them getting that money back are slim. It's almost verging on the insulting to Rangers fans who've been put through the ringer these last few weeks. They're panicking that they're not going to get their money back, and from their point of view, getting involved with Rangers will hopefully mean they the cash back. We all have to ask ourselves, "are they really in this for the good of The Rangers, or are they in this to get their money back and even make money out of Rangers?" Think about it, each and every penny that Tickitus take back could be used to either strengthen our clubs playing staff, pay off the small creditors that we have undoubtably have, or improve Ibrox stadium. They've already made a hash of the £24 MILLION loan they gave to Craig Whyte, is that the sort of company we want with some sort of control at Ibrox? You also need to ask "why have they never bought a football club in the past? To be fair and honest, they may well have a business plan that would benefit us in the long run, and if they, and the Blue Knights have sat down and come up with a marvellous vision for our future, then lets hear it NOW! We're tied of these games, we need clarity. I personally don't think the Blue Knights will be our new owners anyway. By all accounts there are interviews in todays sunday papers with various powers that be, including David Murray, who don't believe the Blue Knights will be the new owners, he believes it will be someone that has no connections with Rangers at all. That is what i would like. A clean slate with someone with money to spend, and good clean transparent background. Yes, i also know that this could be sour grapes from David Murray. Think of this though, no matter what we think of David Murray, he was our owner for 20 odd years, it would be wise for a future investor to lift the phone to him and have a "chat" about our club. I very much doubt David Murray would under sell us, he will give them the cold hard facts and tell them that there is money to be made, but be aware of the pressures that surround Rangers Football Club, but still, i think he'd finish the call by saying ,"It's a great opportunity for you" I am NO David Murray fan for the record. This mess is all his, but the guy is a businessman, so i'm giving him a the benefit of the doubt there, which i know others won't and will shoot me down for, which i do understand. (in the same article he says the Rangers situation is NOT his fault) I'd also like to say a huge thank you to the players that took the wage reductions therefor saving all jobs at Ibrox and at our training facility. We won't forget it.
  24. http://frankieinseasia.blogspot.com/2012/03/blue-knights-are-no-go-for-me.html
  25. My understanding of the process the admin take of a new owner is making sure they have the funds to run a club with the wage bill we have therefor the wages will be back to the normal level when a new owner signs on the dotted line? ?
