  1. Yeah but I actually dont mind Slot so far.
  2. An entertaining game at Brentford. Cracking win for Fulham and they are one of 4 teams on 18 points and climb above Villa. Liverpool open up a 5 point gap and they have City at home in a couple of weeks, they could start to run away with it. Villa being in the Champions League is affecting their league form, they have been poor for 6 weeks. Total bore fest at West Ham, that has to end Lopetegui's short reign at the club. The fans were split of probably 75/25 over Moyes, it is 100/0 on this manager.
  3. Just thinking this games means its the beginning of round 2 of matches - second time we've played Hearts. We've played everyone except Dundee - what is it with that fixture that doesnt want to go ahead. It was postponed about 7 times last season and we cant fit them in this season (cup excluded).
  4. Last year I had Bournemouth to go down but they finished a record 9th. This year I was expected things to catch up with Brentford and felt they would be in a relegation fight but they are again doing well. Fair play to them both.
  5. Last round of games before another international break, having 3 of these is way to much. A lot to play for, West Ham manager must win or he is out. Wolves in the same boat, an absolute must win. Man City will bounce back, Liverpool will keep going but I see Arsenal losing again. I have a sneaky that Ipswich will get their first win of the season. Brentford 2-2 Bournemouth Crystal Palace 2-1 Fulham West Ham 2-1 Everton Wolves 2-0 Southampton Brighton 1-3 Man City Liverpool 2-0 Aston Villa Man Utd 2-0 Leicester Nottingham Forest 1-2 Newcastle Tottenham 0-1 Ipswich Chelsea 2-1 Arsenal
  6. Another bizarre kick off time - 5pm. And other another pointless international break following this game. Need a bit of redemption against Hearts from the opening game of the season where we didnt show up. They were the better team that day but they have been awful since, but a bit like Aberdeen they always seem to turn up against us.
  7. Its a good point and we should also get something in Nice. I just wanted to go into the Tottenham game with plenty to play for and it looks like we will certainly have that.
  8. West Brom v Burnley tonight, big game. Sunderland held at Preston last night with Leeds losing at Millwall. This league is blasted wide open.
  9. What was Mings thinking! He isnt the Ref and cant dictate if the ball is in play or not - but even though, why pick it up! But Arsenal have hit a brick wall.
  10. Was going to say exact this and Castore. But if wearing it in a league game they would have to be on.
  11. I think that's very nice, its got a slight retro look around the neck. Its kind of a collector item so is the type of kit id buy.
  12. I wonder what the numbers are when splitting the European Cup and Champions League formats.
  13. What makes this nice is that they were smiling last week on the bench at Tottenham when losing in the league cup....they werent smiling last night.
  14. Im going with it being a belter of a finish, Seaman wasnt stopping that
  15. Cant quite remember Seaman, but the shot must have had a fair bit of power behind it with the momentum he was going at.
  16. I wouldnt have had Real Madrid down as the most amount of defeats. They are the only team in every catergory. As for last night, thats a bad defeats for them. Im beginning to like this new format, there is no hiding place for the big boys.
  17. Real Madrid v AC Milan. Very tasty on paper, the two most successful clubs in the competition. Just a shame it isnt near a classic Milan team.
  18. And a Manager is paid handsomely to do such things. He cant possibly think Tav will role back the years now. There is nothing wrong with having him as club captain, he just doesnt need to be team captain. Semi finals are normally about just getting through and we got it in the end and we have about 6 weeks to sort things before the final.
  19. It was a hammering in the end for Villa. And after dropping points against Bournemouth last week Villa have lost a chance to cement top 3 for time being. The Championship table is always intriguing. Hopefully the top 2 as it stands go up - two really big clubs. And Ideally Blackburn somehow get up via the playoffs but there is a host of teams I dont mind like Coventry.
  20. So the next manager debate may actually be back in 45 minutes. We are a middle of the road, run of the mill SPL team at the moment. They dont look like they have even trained together before.
  21. I think the tempo is slightly better. But Dessers! Not only his miss but the weak pass when Bajrami was through
  22. Once again the Bench is more appealing than those starting.
  23. Its still a bit premature to be talking about the next manager, perhaps it will be revisited at 5pm UK time though. But Id much rather see the Clement of 12 months ago who came in and propelled us briefly into a title challenge. That same guy has to be in there somewhere. As said before he has lost his own self confidence after Ross County and Dundee results.
  24. The Semi Final of all time was probably the 1999 FA Cup semi at Villa Park when Giggsy scored that worldy to beat Arsenal and was part of the Treble. Bergkamp also missed a pen in the last minute of normal time. The fine lines that Man Utd got the treble was unreal.
  25. The Premier is turning into the Championship - so unpredictable. Last weekend was mad with the amount of late goals then yesterday Liverpool was the only one who won who should have.
