I think Levein is injured aswell....concussion. Too many headers while a player.
-
3-4-3 and practically only Kyle playing in his natural postion, the rest was an experiment. Despite a 3-1 win that is worrying. This was another chance to get the team gelling and settled and finally out of this 'pre season' thing that people are going on about. AM needs to make his mind up now about whether he is going to play 3 at the back or 4. Even when he has being playing 3 at the back its been 5 in midfield. So the 3-4-3 is out of the blue.

Mulgrew out, Ricky Foster called up. Levein is a joke....Wallace is clearly a better player than Foster. But thanks again Levein, maybe you are actually doing us a favour rather than proving your a clown because we dont want him called up with 5 games in 14 days coming up.

Carlos Bocanegra's Spanish move on brink of falling through
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
If he returns play him at LB when required, I feel his best games were at LB. Wallace would be first pick there but Wallace can also play games LM and give Templeton a rest or let Temps play in behind the strikers when Shiels is needing a rest. -
He is a bit Gary Bollan like. But I was more ecstatic about Whittaker leaving TBH.

Mulgrew pulls out squad. Therefore I am wondering if this is the first Scotland squad that contains no players from either Rangers or Celtic. (or is there any Celtic players in the squad??? I thought Mulgrew was the only one). Ricky Foster is his replacement. Once again is he better than Lee Wallace??? Levein at it again!

The thing that concerns me is how much of an impact that has on the small squad. We're fecked if we picked up 2 or 3 injuries to key players so the squad we do have has to be used well for the Ramsden and League cup games. 6 points in the league is a must. The cups are bonuses this season. This is still extremely early days in what will be a very long 16 months with no signings so as we grow stronger in 12 months time we can start to target cups. Promotion is by a country mile the top priority. But all going well in the injury front, we should be winning all 5 games.

Was listening to Talksport yesterday and some so called Journo called Keith Jackson (ive never heard of him) was saying how the huge turnouts in crowds had to do with malice. How do these people get the time of day!!!

Murderwell game live on the Biased Broadcasting Corporation
Gribz replied to GovanAllan's topic in Rangers Chat
The more people who can watch it in a pub will make their viewing figures lower. How can they tell they difference between an empty pub with the game on compared to a pub with 50 fans there. The BBC, The SFA, The SPL....3 reasons why Id have still liked to have applied to play in England -
If we play an SPL side away in the cup it should be boycotted. The likes of St Johstone and Motherwell would only get 2000 home fans coming through the gates and Rangers would get 3000 tickets. Id rather we opened the doors at Ibrox and put the game on TV screens and sell entry tickets. But we have a home tie anyway so its irrevlent for now I suppose.

2 players in the squad Ive never heard of to be replace with another 2 unknowns. But TBH we need Wallace fit and Im glad he isnt called up which could make the injury worse. Serbia will win this game 2-0.
-
The only down side is they will make a bit of cash also when I was hoping for absolutely zero income for any SPL teams coming from Rangers. But given the cups that was always going to be tricky. Away games against must be boycotted.
-
As Gav mentioned, no wonder when Ilweulmo or whatever his name is was picked ahead of him.
-
Yeah but 4 out of 5 out of Europe already and the last ones will get a royal humping in the CL
-
Aberdeen or Dundee Utd at Ibrox would be nice.

Said this yesterday, it shows huge ambition and is massive challenge. When people are sitting playing Football Manager to start off at a small team and climb up to the top division is satisfying, imagine how it will feel for a real player / team / manager / fans when it happens!

Only disappointment from Arsenal point of view was Oxlade-Chamberlain had his most disappointing match for them. He never got going at all. I think Giroud will come good, he looks a better striker than Chamakh and Gervinho, once he scores 1 they will start to flow in. But considering Scznesny, Sanga, Koscielny, Wilshire, Rosicky and Arshavin (the forgotten man) are all still to come back then Arsenal look a lot stronger this season. Rosicky had a good spell last season and if they can get Arshavin playing in a good frame of mind they still have a class player. -

Should add, based on that performance Im sure Arsenal fans wont be disappointed that Sahin didnt join them. -

Ferguson said he was excited about his forwardline being similar to the 1999 squad (Cole, Yorke, Sheringham, Solskjaer). For me they arent quite near that for a few reasons. Any of 2 of those 4 in 99 could play in a partnership. At the moment RVP is world class but Rooney is unfit and overweight. I like Chicharito, he's a bit like Solskjaer in a supersub role. Welbeck seems a bit hot and cold. The other thing is thos 4 strikers in 1999 had the best service they could possibly have. Beckham and Giggs whipping things in from the wings and Keane, Scholes and Butt in behind them. They really did need to sign Schweinsteiger or someone like that. Thought Arsenal were better in midfield against Liverpool, Diaby was outstanding and Cazorla looks better than Nasri. Still think they look shakey at the back, Mertesacker looks too concrete and Jenkinson wouldnt get near another top 6 EPL side. -

Transfer thread - OFFICIAL!! David Templeton signs 4 year deal
Gribz replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
Only Templeton himself can give us the reason but obviously some are annoyed at his choice. I think we have the new Neil McCann and look forward to see him in action today (thats if I can view it from here today). -

I find this a bit bitter. You get so many people chasing the pound signs and glory like Man Citys signings then you get a guy who fancies making a real football story by being part of a club who is on a mission to go back up through the leagues. -
I must have deleted McKay and Macleod by mistake, so yeah your spot on they are in the list.
-
A reminder to his comments. Regardless is he was right or wrong it will feel nice for Fletcher to score those goals. I think he is overrated but Levein is wasting Scotlands time. Agree RE Michu....good find by Laudrup and he picked up Hernandez from Valencia for less than he sold Sinclair for, good business.

Some narrow minded people! How about looking at it from the point...He will be part of the Rangers history that took the club through the journey of returning us to the summit. You cant ask for a bigger challenge!!! Yet the mindless media cant see this. They are starting off at the bottom and working our way to the top again.
