We would all have looked a bit stupid if we had actually won a cup, which I still think was the main reason behind the SPL4. But that has failed so questions have to be asked if that was the reason for the so called quick fix.

That's all fair points, but I would ask why did we need to be running around paying those kind of wages when we could've been running around finding guys in the lower leagues and paying them a faction of the wages offered to the SPL 4.

Some good points Frankie. 1) Everybody looked to be waiting for Ally to say buy not what players we had, I never expected SPL players brought in. 2) Spending a lot of money to win a cup is just a lottery 3) We could've bought senior players from the lower leagues to give us that experience in the team. 4) That could've waited until the illegal embargo was lifted we have plenty of time. 5) Making certain I'll give you, but it was taking a sledgehammer to crack a walnut.

We could afford to say no we could've built a team from the lower leagues paying half the wages and still won Div 3, after all its what we keep getting told the only thing important is winning the league, whether you win it by 20 points or 1 it makes no difference.

You think Green being a CEO of another football club before and played a bit of football as well, didn't know we wouldn't need SPL players on 7k plus a week to win Div3.

From a point I made on the other thread questions have to be asked why we spunked 7mill to win Div3, was it just to nick a cup which has failed miserably, was it some kind of panic buy when it wasn't actually needed. If that budget had been halved we would won this league at a canter and done no worse in the cups, while breaking even in the first year instead of making a loss.

I compared the comparison with us and ManU or Chelsea you think that's a level playing field when we have to play them?

You think having Rangers in Div3 with that budget is fair and square, cheating my have been pushing it a bit but not by much.

So why spend 7mill then if it wasn't to try and win a cup? It wasn't spent to win Div3.
