  1. After a very studied consideration of the Structure, Articles of Association, Rules and Shareholders Agreement, the Board of St Mirren Football Club have decided that they will be unable to support the motion at next Monday’s Meeting of SPL Clubs regarding this proposal for League Reconstruction. This view has been taken after careful thought regarding this proposal including engagement with fans and the views of our coaching staff. The principles of a new league structure, single league body and all through distribution model are part of many aspects of this we fully support, however the proposal as presented does not, in our view, move the game forward. The concept of playing 22 games prior to breaking into three leagues of eight, including the middle eight losing their points gained in the first series of games, is not a system we see as taking the game forward in the long term. You will be aware that other countries have tried this system and have since rejected such a set up. We also feel that this system is not fair to fans who buy into their club by way of a season ticket, who are then unsure of what they are purchasing. It is also against the basic wishes of the fans for larger leagues as highlighted in all recent fan surveys. In the proposed rules the voting structure is remaining, in all items that are of importance, an 11-1 vote. In our opinion, this is fundamentally wrong in any structure and is the principle reason why Scottish League Football has not been able to restructure prior to this time, a view St Mirren have held for some time. The restriction on any change for three years is also very much against our view. When engaging with any new rule book there will always be oversight and anomalies that need to be revised on an annual basis. An area St Mirren are very uncomfortable with is the lock down on various financial rules. The credibility of Scottish Football has been tarnished badly in recent times by financial mismanagement and the time has come for strong financial rules to be in place. Another concern to us is the hard line taken by some in certain areas, like season start date, home-grown talent, under-21 rules. This is not an exhaustive list, however we do think these items require negotiation for the betterment of Scottish Football in general. We also do not accept that this is a take it or leave it situation. We do wish to keep working towards one organisation, an all through distribution model and getting closer to our supporters’ wishes of a larger league, while being fully aware of the commercial and financial pressures of operating a football club. On behalf of the Board of Directors of St Mirren Football Club Looks like the worm has turned.
  2. Templeton had problems at Hearts and as far as I know Hemmings was still training with us although I could be wrong. As for Webster his problem was his bottle.
  3. One thing I would like is more people on the board who are impartial.
  4. Prize for the most sensible post of month.
  5. Everybody including Ally seems to be forgetting that the first time Green mentioned this he was defending Ally as a manager blaming what Ally had to work with and not his ability. It would appear that fact doesn't fit today's agenda.
  6. Great finish by the young lad and got himself into some great positions which with more match time would see him hitting the target instead of snatching at it. Worrying bit is he goes of injured again, hope its not serious because Little and Hemmings will rip Div2 apart next year.
  7. Not very objective imo, article states it doesn't insinuate anything then goes on to insinuate everything. To also claim in the first paragraph that you distrusted the guy before he even opened his mouth, then try to claim you can write an objective article is a bit of a stretch. Always thought CRO only dealt in facts.
  8. Ally should be given no money until he can prove he can get what he's got playing well consistently.
  9. Covering his, We Don't Do Walking Away arse.
  10. Yup we hammer ourselves at every turn just look at the last couple of days. As for Ally his team puts in an average performance, they were outplayed for large spells of the second half and he suddenly grows a pair and starts shouting the odds about backing, maybe he should at the squad he was given to win a part-time league before he shouts about backing. If he showed that anger towards his pals in the media who are still putting the boot in day after day to the club he and all of us love then I might actually take his ramblings seriously. We have a CEO trying to be a stand up comic and now we have Ally trying to rewrite history because I can tell him this is the worst Rangers team in history. Maybe when he looks in the mirror he can't handle the fact that he's partly to blame for that.
  11. Hemmings injured again, not looking good for the lads future.
  12. Are you only allowed to get booked if your a Rangers player.
  13. Started well playing at a good tempo for a change and a cracking finish.
  14. He's answerable to the board and the shareholders, both of whom can sack his arse.
  15. Surely we must have a young RM who could be given a chance.
  16. Just hit the ignore button mate, your post is clear enough. It seems I'm questionable as well whatever the f#^k that's supposed to mean.
  17. So your calling me a racist because Green obviously feels he can call his friend a paki and they don't bother about it. ADMIN EDIT: You know the rules and have previous Allan, so it's a final warning - no personal abuse.
  18. The guy just to the right of the Union Flag has got a belter of a black eye. Is that meant to be Green just above and to the right of Souness.
  19. Ally & TLB talking nonsense.
  20. Thought it was hilarious, I'm sure the PC brigade will be on to get tore in.
