  1. Guys. I was at a function in Mar Hall on Sunday night and the whole squad were staying there. Jelavic wasn't with the squad and neither was Bendiksen or Broadfoot, I saw them all arrive off the bus and mill about the hotel. I chatted with Bocanegra and got a photo with McCoist totally kicking myself that I never asked him what the score with Jela was although he was really good with all my party for photos and I'm sure he's for the off and therefore wasn't inlcuded in the squad. The stuff about him refusing to play is utter bollocks. I did ask Bocanegra if he was getting the armband but he just smiled and said no.

  2. We are easy touches at the moment, a decent team will run all over the top of us I fear the worst for Wednesday. Never felt so negative going into and Old Firm game, I always suspend any doubts and take the game as it comes but I will be very surprised if we don't get turned over 2-0 or 3-0.

    Merry Christmas!

  3. I'd happily see Whittaker sold in January to be honest and it's just not a reaction to his poor form this season. He's one of the few players we would actually get some money for since he is on a decent term contract and from all accounts there are a few interested parties. He's never a defender and has gotten where he is for his attacking play down the right and the odd wonder goal, we can't afford players like him in this team at the moment because we're not putting teams under the cosh like we used to.

  4. I really hope they get relegated in my lifetime and all the better if it's this season. They aren't the same threat they used to be to us on one off games but any promoted other team won't lie down to Celtic like they've done for the last few years. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

  5. Swap for Bryan Ruiz and I will be happy. I would even throw a couple of million in to get the deal done.

I was thinking that other day with Jelavic, Ruiz hasn't done much at Fulham but is a fantastic player and would bang them in up here. Would love to see him play with Jelavic rather than in place of him though.

  6. I would be more than happy to let a sponsor rename Ibrox if we got £10m + out of it but as has been stated very few companies would want to single out one side of the Old Firm and risk the slabbering mhanks not spending their incapacity benefit on their products. Maybe a luxury brand would work....The Land Rover Arena perhaps????

On another note any suggestions for what The Piggery could be renamed?

  7. A small point but one that's becoming increasingly important...we seem to have embraced social media and are actually engaging with the fans a lot more. You can see that Rangers FC is starting to be turned into a marketable product again and that has almost certainly come from Craig Whyte. As for the bigger picture, it's really impossible to say until the Tax issue is sorted one way or another.

  8. Not wishing to give the oxygen of publicity to such low life scum, but a certain anti-Rangers blogger has the tims up in arms with his latest drivel. He's now realised that Rangers cannot be incinerated and all the trophies handed to Celtic so now his attention turns to the SPL, SFA and Celtic PLC.

The hordes are incensed by the notion that Celtic will play some part in "saving" Rangers by voting for their inclusion in the SPL (post Administration), threatening to rip up season tickets and other such hysterics. Entertaining stuff.

  9. There is no reason why FTP should be considered sectarian, Rangers are not a religious club or have any links to any religion we are a secular organisation and so attacking the head of a religion should be "free speech". Maybe there is a big Christian/Protestant element to our support but I would hazard a guess that 75% of "us" do not practice.

I dressed up as a Cardinal at Halloween and had an interesting debate with a Celtic supporting neighbour of mine...his view was that I was being borderline sectarian. His justification for saying that was simply because I am a Rangers supporter! I told him in a free country it is against no law or by-law to mock a religious leader no matter which team you support. You don't see Hitchens or Fry being arrested and charged with sectarian offences and they regularly rip Catholicism apart. Rangers fans seem to have lesser rights than everybody else.

  10. Utter double standards Ian. You would have to question if FTP is a sectarian breach, as you are not being derogatory to members of his church but to the head of said church. Who being the head of the church is surely open to such criticism.

  11. So pro Celtic that this week the stories they've run with have been negative - including Lennon claiming he hasn't fallen out with his players.

I still say they're anti and pro everyone - whatever gets hits. Same with most media outlets. Sure, individuals within these organisations will have bias, that's natural. But I don't buy the institutional bias stuff people come out with.

Back in the 90s we gave Celtic fans a nickname; 'paranoid tim'.

Looks like it's come full circle now.

If you think Rangers fans are being paranoid in the same way as Celtic fans have been for 50 years (and still are) then you are well wide of the mark here Danny. Is Craig Whyte being paranoid? Was McCoist paranoid when he was edited to make it look like he was laughing

    at sectarian violence?

Certain pro-Celtic BBC employees have used their positions to paint Rangers in a bad light, that's as far as I think it goes. A hugely different scenario to the scatter gun "everybody's against us" psychosis from them

  12. "They said concerns had been raised about the Bill by the Law Society of Scotland, the Scottish Human Rights Commission, the Scottish Justices Association, anti-sectarianism organisations, football supporters groups, religious organisations and children’s charities and “their powerful voices deserve to be listened to”."

If all of these people express concerns about the Bill and it is pushed through regardless then it's a miscarriage of justice and anybody prosecuted under it should go to The European Court Of Human Rights with their case. The desperation to push this through smacks of fanatacism.

  13. I get the best of both worlds mate the wife's company on the supporters bus then she buggers off with the kids to the family section. I go to the pub with the mates then my own seat for the game.

Sounds like you've got it susses mate, what bribery do you have to indulge in for that?
