Dave King confirms 'landslide' victory and requests EGM is not required
Laudbertz replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Maybe they were able to video conference in as Frankie suggested. They have absolutely no excuse for not showing up in person anyway if those are the rules. I dont think I could take another twist in this saga and the EGM gets delayed again. They would surly be in breach of the rules if that were to happen. -
Such contracts will get a good going over once King is in to hopefully overturn any of these ludicrous clauses. Im sure interaction with fan groups will muster up a plan to at least try and ensure Rangers arent hit too hard. King's recent statements have certainly indicted his intention to not back down and fight our corner, something that should please every single fan, even those who dont particularly like him. Its been a long long time since we have had someone in a more authoritive in-house position to fight our corner.

I was one who thought another season in the Championship to rebuild was the better option, was wrong. I thought we would be straight back down, but this was after losing 3 games in a row last month, one albeit wasnt too much of a thrashing from them. I thought we'd be relegated in no time. However, I now believe that with the right manager who is extremely smart with the cheque book, we should be able to avoid relegation next season....but we have to secure promotion before worrying about that. -
Well done to SoS/RST/UoF and all of us who made it happen

Its insane they lasted as long as they did, but not so much a surprise when your 'support network' is the SFA. -
Re : the statement Zappa posted, it says the outcome cannot be determined with certainty. DK's statement said that the conversation was recorded in which DL admitted that it was a landslide victory. Why say it in a telephone conversation only to discredit it later? Hope that recording bites them on the ass.

What can be done by the fans tonight (email, petition, etc)? Pressure needs to be applied somewhere.

So our only hope is Capita announcing the results early when voting closes tomorrow?

Oh for fu...where the hell is the fat lady and why isnt she singing?! -
Thanks Craig. I was also baffled by it mentioning the 3rd week of March, when, presumably, King will have taken over.

SFA: no decision yet on Ashley's links with Rangers

Lets not give them an inch, they'll take a mile and want the ones that matter! -
I am not altogether sure what this means, but I saw it so thought id post it. The 'willingness of SD to release funds' is the part that grabbed me. Something to be worried about?

Maybe im reading it wrong, but if the fact that the case against him acting in the best interest of the club is 'not proved', then surely the club will have the same result. Anyway, this kind of charge irks me greatly, it is the people that run the club who should be held accountable to the charge, not the club itself. Just so happens these people are on the way out. Yet another fork in the road to recovery for Rangers. -

Not proved? Cowardly fence sitters. A £7500 fine is hardly going to rattle him. -

Absolutely brilliant and I wouldnt doubt DK's confidence in releasing that statement. However, after DL's previous misdirection, such as the EGM date change which affected the RFB, ill wait for the confirmation from the dark side. -
Played my part in that derailment, apologies gents. What I love about the recent upsurge in fan ownership, is the loyalty it shows. I have noticed alot less venom from those other fans who were saying 'if your fans are so loyal, why are they not attending games?'. Cause they've been working in the background to get the much needed changes we need, thats why! The greater good is clambering its way through.

That jumped out at me too, what an idiot. Shows just how much they dont give a damn about our club... as if we needed any further evidence! Side-note : every time i see your sig, Matt Berrys voice is in my head!

If we are only getting someone in until the end of the season, id certainly prefer someone with more experience that McCall, this current bunch of players need confidence and a morale boost and im not sure McCall is the man to do that. Wouldnt mind seeing Magath coming in for the rest of the season, then moving into the DoF positions that has previously been tipped to make was for another manager (Cathro?) for him to help guide.
