I disagree. There have been some good games and some exciting games. I think so called diddy teams have learnt how to organise themselves and proved difficult for the so called good teams to overcome, The Spain Portugal game was great, also the Sweden Germany game. Other games at the final stages have been really absorbing, eg Argentina squeezing through, Senegal going out even though they were maybe the best team in their group.

To me Skrtel is too similar to Alves, i.e. ageing, slowing down, injury prone and overpaid.. Well at least one of them might be fit at the same time .

I like him. He does disappear from games but he can beat players and make a difference against SPFL opposition.

£80k a week for Defoe and £60k for Skrtel?  That is ridiculous, we certainly couldn't afford that. We should be looking for young players with potential from abroad. With the promise to showcase them with a view to a transfer to the EPL they will come.

I was trying to be witty . I just don't think Arfield is a good signing but happy to be proved wrong.

He is no world beater, but he seems to me to be the kind of player who allows the team to keep the ball and keep moving. 

I don't expect him to be other than a good professional, whbo will turn in a professional performance regularly. 

I think we need these kind of guys.
