Alex Thomson: Rangers into administration on Wednesday-Question....
D'Artagnan replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
So what are the options for consideration ? 1. That the current board persuaded 3 names to tie up a Q & A with DK - and DK was ill judged enough to participate ? And they then got 3 names to weave that interview into his latest piece which suggests admin is impending for our club ? (Considerably raising the pressure on the current board I may add) And this was all orchestrated by the current board for the purpose of blackmailing King to pay more for the shares they own ? OR 2. 3 names saw another opportunity to extend the range of his poison and e-mailed a series of questions to DK who was ill-judged enough to participate - not knowing the poisonous one would than weave the responses into his latest attack on Rangers ? I know which one I believe. -

For goodness sake GS - that is just utter nonsense and not helpful to anyone. We do ourselves and our club no favours when we allow our allegiances to distort the truth, however uncomfortable it may be. -

Wouldn't work for me amms despite the favourable financial benefits you have highlighted - he has given numerous assurances to fans that admin would not occur during his watch - if it were to come to fruition he would have to fall on his sword. -

Unfortunately yes. As well as bragging about it via his twitter account he has woven it into his latest anti-Rangers piece. http://www.philmacgiollabhain.ie/game-on-2/ -

I have no doubt bluebear that there are moves afoot to discredit King - but giving an interview to 3 names was a massive error of judgement by King. Call it ignorance, stupidity or naiviety . It comes as no surprise to me that the poison which is 3 names has woven his interview into his most recent series of allegations. -

He has been bragging about it for days along with our impending admin - a conclusion he has arrived at as a consequence of several not to be revealed "sources" . No surprise Thomson is repeating these allegations - his association with 3 names is long standing. -

3 names has been bragging for days he has a no. of sources regarding this - as well as his King interview of course. I really cant believe Dave King would have been so stupid as to enter into dialogue with this Rangers hater. -
Questions still need answered by the man who could be King

Why did you do an e-mail interview with Phil 3 names - a confirmed hater of our club ?- 4 replies

Supporters Direct chief calls on Rangers fans to unite...
D'Artagnan replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Plg I'm thinking back to a discussion you and I had a few years back about robust statements and Im looking at current events with a sense of deja vu. There has quite clearly been a serious issue at the very top of the RST board - with resignations accompanied by allegation and counter allegation of grave criminality. Despite this the RST members are still very much in the dark concerning events. Of particular concern is that the clearest indication of what has transpired was given on a public message board forum, during a tit for tat spat between some of the parties involved and which was little more than cat fight citing allegation and counter allegation of serious criminal conduct - totally inappropriate. Have the RST not learned they have a duty to their members - who deserve a clear and unequivocal statement of what has happened and what is happening within their organisation ? -
It is endemic WBD - a fact even I would not even have subscribed to previously, despite my feeling there was a considerable anti-Rangers bias running through the organisation. However, having spoken to the Bears who raised the complaint re accuracy which eventually led to the Trust ruling my opinion has changed. Their complaint went through all the tiers of management at BBC Scotland - and not one looked upon it favourably - resulting in it being escalated to a higher level time and time again - hence why the final recourse was to defer to the Trust themselves for a ruling.

GS/WBD If you want to debate the merits/demerits of VB - I will be happy to do so on another thread. I will not be doing it this however this evening as it would not be appropriate.

Delighted with that draw though Sheep vs Arabs would have been the icing on the cake

I kid you not GS - I believe some of their conduct is now bordering on or similar to the behaviour of a scolded child who takes the huff at being chastised. Furthermore I believe their treatment of some of the investigations they have conducted post-BBC Trust ruling do not stand up to scrutiny. The case of Jim Spence's "some would say" is the perfect example - they investigated that outburst and passed judgment on it as an isolated case. The truth however was quite different of course. Jim Spence had made a no. of assertions previously on air regarding this matter - "I dont care what Rangers fans say - this is a new club" probably being the most notable. Therefore it was less than thorough, nor was it balanced to conduct that investigation without evaluating his previous comments on the matter, It wasn't so much "some might say" but more a case of "As I have previously stated" When you see the standard of internal investigation being undertaken - it becomes easy to see how they made so many mistakes over Savile - but perhaps of greater concern is that despite their assertions - they have not learned from those mistakes.

That article more than most Bearger sums up my frustrations at what at times is akin to tip toeing through a minefield.

Well I dont see it like that GS but you may of course choose to differ. I feel many of our fans organisations had, by their conduct, ostracised themselves from the board - making a meeting and Q & A unlikely to happen. VB by keeping their own counsel on matters were granted a meeting. The questions were presented and the answers given - the subsequent minute of this meeting was published with a considerable caveat regarding the integrity of Stockbridge's answers. It is my opinion that by their conduct VB had managed to accomplish what other fans groups had failed to do - seek information from the incumbent board. The "bad company they keep" was actually an effort by them to gain information on behalf of our support - information they subsequently shared with the wider support.

Whilst I very much appreciate RPB's comments - I will out of courtesy nonetheless provide you with a response WBD. 1. VB MEMBER - I am also a member of Gersnet, Rangers Media DTB, FF , Rangerschat and post more on these forums than I do on VB - yet for some strange reason I am defined and characterised as being "VB" ? I have never understood this tendency within our support to pigeon hole one another - to me such a tendency is likely to impair rather than enhance a sense of unity. I am here, I am on VB/FF/RM etc etc for one reason - Because I support Rangers. 2. AGM/BEHAVIOUR - You started your query mentioning VB as a collective and then referred to some of the behaviour of individual members of VB. It is a distinction which is critical. I noticed "unsavoury" and "uncalled" behaviour by a number of people during the run up to the AGM many of whom were not VB members. If you ask people who know me - I will give short shrift to any Bear whose conduct towards another Bear is unedifying - and I dont care what pigeon hole badge they wear whether they be VB or otherwise. But hypothetically speaking it is a considerably huge and erroneous quantum leap to suggest "Real Papa Bear, who is a member of Gersnet think and does this - therefore all Gersnet Members are of the same ilk" Furthermore what you have failed to acknowledge WBD is that the unsavoury and uncalled for behaviour was also perpetrated against some VB members. One in particular, who I would add is not a member of any social media platforms - had his identity and the places he frequents revealed and as a consequence his family were subject to threats. I dont want this to sound tit for tat - just that your original assertion suggested it was one way - which I know for a fact it wasn't. None of which of course, excuses such behaviour whoever perpetrates it. Furthermore there were considerable lies published during the run up to the AGM particularly about VB - I only know they were lies because as a member I was able to validate some of the stuff which was being printed and determine it was not true. In particular the circumstances surrounding the meeting with BS & JH has been subject to particular distortion. The latter makes me particularly angry to this day - not because Im a VB member - but because Im a Rangers supporter and such deliberate lies only confused our support further. 3. THIS ARTICLE - I wrote this article exclusively for VB as a mark of recognition and respect of their efforts in tackling the shortcomings at BBC Scotland - hence why it is exclusive to their website.
