Great cross from Miller too....though I didn't think so at first Oh ffs...thought they had scored again. "Goal" chalked off
-
Goooooooooooooooooooooooal brilliant flying volley from garner
-
garner again goes close. Saved. Good save but, as ever with us, wasn't put far enough away from him
-
That was so unlucky, great cross from Mckay. Almost!
-
Foderingham still not coming for corners even with no Hill
-
Hodson, Wallace and Hill off. Halliday, O'halloran and Garner on
-
Tom Miller just said: "Rob Kiernan the rock at the heart of the Rangers' defence." Then RTV buffered again. Understandably. Painfl viewing these last few minutes. Buffering perhaps to be welcomed.
-
RTV Comms wittering on about anything but the game now. Tells its own story, I'm afraid
-
Appalling defence/keeper....a movie we've all been in so many times before
-

Unfortunately I think that is the best future we can hope for and it is what King has positioned us as. the idea is to bring in or bring up young players, get a few years from them and sell them on. As in you know who being Southampton's feeder club and they in turn being Liverpool's. it's the modern fitba world, alas. Top in Scotland = feeder club to small English clubs = in turn feeder to top dogs,

You seem to have forgotten that their wet dreams and fantasies have been becoming our reality for a number of years now. I have read very similar comments in the past in response to articles re us going into administration, to liquidation,to being kicked out and only allowed in at the bottom level etc. etc.

Puskas did know one word of English (albeit originally Gaelic) which he apparently pronoubced "weeskee" Slim Jim also said after finding Puskas, erm, entertaining the young lady over the kitchen table, when Baxter went to find another bottle: "now I know why they call him the Galloping Major"

I have a pal who was commentating on the Indian Premier League (it's OK he does real football too ) and he did a game with Trevor Steven co-commentating. At half time Trevor made a comment re the best player and it was a defender who had not touched the ball even once. He explained (sorry I can't recall all the details) about positioning, stepping out and covering off areas where passes would have been attempted and so forth. My pal was intrigued by this and brought up the same subject after the game with another ex player who instantly agreed with Steven. A crude set of stats would have had this player as a nonetity while two ex players thought he was outstanding. (I presume more sophisticated stat systems would reflect things more accurately, however - yes?) PS Yes I told my pal to constantly ask Trevor about his time at Rangers and fed him lines to use and questions to ask (most wisely were left unanswered )

Beckenbauer was rubbish in the 72 game. Opposite of what a captain should be. I know he was a great player though. If the performance doesn't matter I would go for Best just shading g Cruyff. I presume Stanley Matthews played at Ibrox - too old (even) for me but he'd presumably be in with a shout. My dad would have said Distefano with Puskas close behind

That's what you get for being mates with Lennon

65 was the first year I saw us live. Ah..............memories

Harold Davis, right, takes part in a trial match for Rangers in 1959 (Photo: SMG/Press Association Images) Just look at the crowd here at a "trial match"!
-
Completely irrelevant, lets just argue about names.
-
Pedro would understand what Lovenkrands was saying to him . As Tannochside says/implies, that is unlikely with Barry or Brown. I can't say that any of the names thus far suggested have impressed me for what I see (guess) is this particular role. Now, Neil McCann.......

Sounds perfectly fitting to me - matches the decision to play that game at Easter Road last night. Sam emindset

i think that this is relevant to "Rangers Chat" but if I'm wrong.....admin will do their duty! http://www.skysports.com/football/news/12017/10809088/gordon-strachan-to-rest-celtic-stars-against-canada Gordon Strachan will give his Celtic regulars a rest on Wednesday when Scotland host Canada in a friendly. The Easter Road game is serving as a warm-up for Sunday's World Cup Qualifier against Slovenia at Hampden Park. Strachan will hold back some of his key men for the weekend as he aims to revive a qualifying campaign that has yielded just four points from four games - including a 3-0 defeat at Wembley in November. He said: "They have played a lot of games. Broony (Scott Brown) is up to 40 games, Stuart Armstrong has played a lot of games, Kieran Tierney has played every game he could possibly have played in apart from the injury he got, and Craig Gordon has played a lot. "I spoke to a lot of people at Celtic and they are quite happy with that. They played on Sunday, they have had a lot of games and they are not part of this build-up. "Leigh Griffiths has not had as many games. He could be the exception and probably will see minutes on Wednesday." Strachan could announce his line-up in advance and is promising the Tartan Army a high-tempo performance.
