  1. What about a 5-a-side challenge match down at the Pitz. There should be a few with time on their hands, What about a line-up of.... Shifty The Overweight Lawyer Teflon The Dundee CEO Eric Drysdale against a Celtic V
  2. If that legal opinion is correct then it should be full-on assault in trying to remove Teflon, the Overweight Lawyer and Shifty. The icing on the cake would be a link to the organ grinder.
  3. Now that is a statement that delivers and if the detailed legal opinion was to be anywhere near valid then the SPFL will presently be carrying out a damage limitation exercise. The PDF file (legal opinion) / attachment on Thistle Statement https://cdn-5dd296c4f911cc1c581d2ef3.closte.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/2020.04.14-FINAL-Joint-Opinion-PTFC.pdf
  4. Same place he´s been mostly holed up in for the past eight years. (under Peter´s desk) To think he survived the 2012 debacle, forever trots out the line "I only do the clubs bidding" yet enjoys an annual salary of 388K......
  5. Where you getting this Cammy ? 15 hours ago Livingston FC twitter posted this (Jose Mourinho is their new spokesman)....
  6. Sorry, I didn´t mean your as in you, more the general useage. My grammar is poor, will change it. Agree on your last sentence.
  7. What appears to be happening is that the two or so sides to this are pushing press articles so as to influence public opinion. Yesterday, the SPFL had a whole load of favourable media they had helped to organise with teflon coated Hampden sources adding their tuppence worth. The real stuff (what actually comes from SPFL meeting and subsequent statements) won´t be long in coming along.
  8. The "brokering of a deal" would surely have to be a new resolution to be voted on by all clubs ......(chances of passing?). I doubt this would be a realistic or achievable direction of travel.
  9. Over a long period, too much of the legal and PR advice has been amateur hour stuff and it has had a debilitating effect on the club. I don´t refer to the current situation. Let´s see what happens............
  10. I didn´t refer to the timing regards the action taken. I meant on how to judge it within the wider picture once the dust on this present skirmish settles. Personally, I would hope it to be part of a wider strategy moreso than just a reactionary move. It´s interesting that under the new interim Chairman, Douglas Park, we seem to have become more aggressive. If that´s the way we are going to go then ok but you have to pick battles you can win...and here is what I was refering to...we have to win the ongoing dispute with the SPFL ,in as much as you can win such a thing or the Ladbrokes move will be painted as just another angry punch at someone in reach at that time.
  11. Cyber champagne is on me if we really do have a submissible smoking gun big enough to win this battle. It´d make a nice change !
  12. Better to look back at this ongoing episode as a whole before shouting about this one way or tuther.
  13. To have something that will stick against the Teflon CEO (lawyer), the overweight lawyer and the organ grinder is asking a lot. That lot will not leave many submissible tracks.
  14. I´d have thought a vote would be needed to change the division of monies to the clubs. Tbh, I wouldn´t bother too much with the rags at the moment. Some real news should be coming out later today.
  15. I wonder if Dundee might get some attractive loan deals coming from the top tier next season. Celtic going to play a friendly at Dens Park would surely be too in yir face.
  16. If he´s been advised to play poker without good cards then I´d worry regards how this will play out. You´d hope he signed off on the first Saturday statement confident that the whistleblower evidence was exactly how it was described. Only time will tell....
  17. My mistake The SPFL have obviously been at it, it´s about being able to prove it.
  18. Precedent over the last decade doesn´t make me particularly optimistic that the evidence will be high grade enough to achieve what we are apparently hoping for. However, the one difference is that Douglas Park very much put his name to it. Hopefully, that means something.
  19. We´ll never have any investigation, independent or Polis with what is out there. The only way that changes is if Rangers come to the table with high grade whistleblower evidence.
  20. Post C19 in amongst the economic carnage, Scottish football will generally be closer to garbage than it was a couple of months ago. Perhaps kinder to term it getting closer to N.I. / Welsh League level with two teams that are looking for somewhere else to ply their trade.
  21. For most of the above, not really. Other than abstention obviously having the same affect as a No vote. It was always 28 days but with a request for it to be submitted by Friday. Once received, you can´t revoke a yes vote in this type of voting proceedure (see point 2 below on SPFL sheet and the same rule is part of the Companies Act of 2006).
  22. Obviously from our financal POV, wage cuts would have been much better. It means that further down the line we´ll have heavier outgoings at what at best, will be a very challenging time. Thinking about projected revenue, how is the European question for 20/21 to be resolved regards qualifiers/groups ? One legged qualifiers played in the artic circle (with an orange ball) ?
  23. It became a PLC in the modern world #growth&greed.
  24. One thing that gets my goat is incorrect use of the 85% figure when writing an article in favour of the SPFL. "Despite winning the backing of 85 per cent of Scotland’s 42 senior clubs,..." Keith Jackson, Daily Record https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/spfl-hold-crisis-talks-face-21855816 As far as I´m aware the yes votes were 10+7+16 = 33 (78.57%) What it does show is that subtle misinformation does work. On Friday, the SPFL said "As at 5pm, the SPFL had received 39 responses, 85% of which have been in favour, as follows..." https://spfl.co.uk/news/statement-from-the-spfl-board ie. 33 of 39 is 84.6% but it´s then transforms into the incorrect 33 of 42 = 85% in the media.
