Any signing is a gamble and, if we want an upgrade in class, given what we've got to spend, that's even more so. That's going to include players who've lost their way a bit or are otherwise failing to fulfil their potential. Pena's not a magic bullet but potentially a significantly better player than we might get otherwise. There's some risk of 'culture shock' but plenty of South Americans have settled fine in England or Germany. Counter that with a chance to play at a prestigious club with a huge support and decent facilities, a manager who knows you and putting yourself in the window for English clubs.

Limburner's correct to note the potential risks but is refusing to acknowledge the potential benefits. And completely losing his shit while doing it.
