That was a beautiful finish from Cortes. It's more of a mid-block today, but the spacing between the players and the counter-pressing has been terrific; we collapse on the ball well, giving them no space. We're not pressing high, but we're aggressive when they enter our mid-block. We're still not using the ball well enough when we win it back, but I see that as something that will improve with further coaching.

How has Dessers missed the target with that header?! Ridvan has fairly got stuck in so far. I'm admittedly late to the game, but he has recovered the ball twice in a couple of minutes. It was Ridvan's pin-point cross for the Dessers chance I mentioned.

Lawrence could very well play deep, too, but I was referring to Diomande, Lundstram and Sterling. Exactly. But they were not all sitting in the past, either. I just remember that silly argument ('we don't need three DMs against such-and-such at home') being used quite often in the past. It's how they are used is the issue, not the positions they play, which I've tried to explain quite often.
