  1. I don't agree with the pressing criticism, either. It suggests you can only press if you have certain players, which I don't believe is true. You can press with any player, because, for me, it's mostly an organisational thing. Like defending. OK--some players are better at defending then others, but the majority of defending is about organisation. You can drill players into a solid system, regardless of individual ability. I recall Klopp's first game with Liverpool, against Tottenham. I don't think they won the game, but you could see the pressing and counter-pressing immediately. And, you wouldn't say Liverpool had a great side at that stage; they were pretty average. Did they not have Benteke, FFS?! Ole just doesn't have it, tactically.
  2. What are your thoughts, folks?
  3. And, I actually think Ole has done a good job of rebuilding the team, if you think about where they were to where they ended last season. They are consistently top-4 now. However, Ole has not got it, tactically, to take them further or compete with the best.
  4. I think they actually have a very good squad. If you put Guardiola, Klopp or Tuchel in charge of that Man Utd squad, they go close, IMO. Maybe strength in depth is what they are lacking, but that first team squad is pretty good.
  5. Does it not show for you? Do you see other edits? Maybe it's because it's the OP? Or I'm a Mod? Do you suspect foul play... ? Edit: Did you see this edit?
  6. A win's a win. I can't say I'm enjoying watching us this season, though.

  8. Defoe's in the Super Sunday studio today.
  9. Give yourself some credit - you're the reason he scores, there. Juju works in mysterious ways.
  10. That was my half-time prediction...
  11. And then they miss the clip on Aribo. The only reason for them to not give a penalty there is because the Referee didn't think there was enough contact.
  12. The difference is that Bournemouth were built around and by Eddie Howe, whereas Brentford are built around their data-based infrastructure, which doesn't rely on a coach - Thomas Frank just carried on from Dean Smith. Brighton are like Bournemouth: when Potter leaves, they'll go back to struggling. It highlights the importance of having an infrastructure that doesn't rely on individual coaches. That's why I'm pleased we have a DoF model.
  13. Arsenal 1-1 Villa Chelsea 3-0 Norwich Palace 2-1 Newcastle Toffees 2-0 Watford Leeds 1-2 Wolves So’ton 1-1 Burnley BHA 1-2 City Brentford 1-0 Leicester Hammers 2-0 ‘Spurs United 0-1 Liverpool
  14. St Mirren 1 - 2 Rangers FGS Roofe
  15. I thought Aribo was superb. Wright was good when he came on - once again, showing glimpses as a sub, but can't do it when he starts?
  16. What are your thoughts, folks?
  17. A quick glance at transfermrkt shows Roofe has played 2,869 minutes, which is 31-32 games, roughly. A goal every 114 minutes. Pretty good.
  18. The Brondby fans were throwing things at Tav, when he was taking a corner - we're not as focused on it because we scored from it!
  19. Not many points from this round, to be honest. Most of us were a tad pessimistic. Correct Result (1 pt): Everyone who entered, except Franc, WB91 and Devil. Correct Number of Rangers Goals (1pt): Rousseau, BEAR, One, gisabeer, TB, FS, r_s and CammyF FGS (2 pts): Dado Correct Score (3 pts): BEAR, One and CammyF. Latest Standings:
  20. Yes, and I wonder how many minutes that is, considering his injury record? Very good numbers.
  21. I think Aribo won the ball about 5-6 times in that first half. Superb. I think he just needs a bit more direction about what to do with the ball when he gets it.
  22. I'd like to see more switches of play. Brondby like to press us into one side, so a quick switch could be profitable.
