  1. As said above, his mistakes are so frequent that I doubt even Davie Weir being next to him could help him concentrate for a full game. Better cutting our losses here before he gives us a right sore one to contemplate.
  2. The last two performances have been encouraging. Night and day compared to the last few months and better than the majority over the last few seasons. I'll always be thankful to McCoist for being there when the club needed continuity more than ever. Same with the players who stood by us. But it was obvious he wasn't cutting it as a manager. I gave him the benefit of the doubt for long enough because he was getting the job done but performances were often dire. There was often no pattern to our play and too many games were teams like Raith Rovers or Annan would be outplaying us, even if we did manage to win. That should never have happened as often as it did. I always thought McCoist had failed to sign a genuine leader at the back and a proper central midfielder and that it showed in most of our games, especially games with added pressure in cups. The team just seemed to lack direction or know what to do if things didn't go to plan. I think we've been a bit unlucky against Hearts this season and that Boyd having a terrible season has cost us a fair number of points but if we had come first then these problems would have just cost us next year. McCall has impressed me so far though considering I never wanted him. Same colour of hair as the last one to prove me wrong, so here's hoping
  3. I was too young to see the best of Cooper but remember him well as the player you went to see and missed until Laudrup showed up. Once had the privilege of seeing the great man training for Clydebank on university pitches in knightswood. A mate phoned about it and we sat outside the gate watching, lol Cheers for posting the video bud. I remember him not being the quickest but with a great switch of pace that would take him away from most. You can see it in the video. But he doesn't look as if he had a problem with pace at all. Tragic that he died so young, brought a lot of joy to people, and no doubt had a lot to pass on in football.
  4. Cheers for the welcome chaps, will try my best not to annoy people And for the info Hemdani. I'm a few hundred miles away but maybe the next one as I still visit Glasgow for games and to see family.
  5. Got to laugh at Jackson talking about losing face and credibility. Our sports media eh? As a national institution its on a par with Still Game. Check the 'Ibrox odditorium' 'blazers and brogues' and 'chemical protection suits' crap. Must be difficult convincing yourself that its proper journalism when the market dictates to your boss that cheap digs for the ill need to be included in any piece covering Rangers. Just a shame the club can't copyright writing the way singers get money for songs because the obsessed pound must be outdoing the blue one. Is it not just a summary of what we already knew. Murray didn't look sure that we would definitely get a nomad in his recent interview. The main reason I wanted us to remain listed is I assumed it was needed for a share issue. Anyone know? The rest of the stuff mentioned about regulatory stuff is unimportant to me. The main thing is that money gets put into the club.
  6. Alright lads, been reading the site for a while, Always a good place to visit if you get sick of the internet madness that surrounds Rangers. Often felt like posting on threads so been meaning to join for a while. So looking forward to toasting many Rangers successes on here as we take back all our trophies. Inevitable things sometimes bore due to predictability but this is going to be good for a while before the rest become a bit of an irrelevance again. It drives them ill but there you have it, just the facts of Scottish football. There is a challenging but ultimately rewarding period for the club ahead so lets make the most of it
