  1. Trump Tower is a fecking dump. Probably my most disappointing visit in New York.
  2. Boyd and Ferguson were totally wrong imo mate. They were supposed to be athletes but failed to follow a training programme introduced by a new manager. They did that due to their own sloth and had nothing to do with how the team was playing. Both undermined the manager and would/should have been turfed out if our owner had balls. That Le Guen made mistakes in signings or tactics doesn't really come into it. His record was there to be judged and acted upon on its own. We got rid of him due to his own naivety and incompetence . That one player came to be known as Barry Sideways and the other was a serial lazy bastard shows their own merits. Summing up, Ferguson and Boyd weren't acting to save Rangers. They were looking to draw great wages for doing anything but what they were being told to do.

  4. They should have put a pair of tackety boots on him and sent him out to clear minefields. What is it about these people that they constantly have to feel themselves as victims ?
  5. " No other international side in the world would have made eight changes from a team which started the previous game. It stunk of having no cohesive game-plan, no consistency of selection and reeked of a last throw of the dice from a manager who already knew the game was up. " Does the author forget just how shyte we were in the previous game ? I'd have changed all eleven.
  6. I was just reading back on the court decision by Lord Hodge and it would seem that Ticketus had a contract with us. Unfortunately for them, when Whyte took the company to oblivion it was their status as preferential creditors which changed under Scots law. "On the first alternative direction, having heard submissions as to whether Scots law or English law determined whether a trust had been created in the income from the season tickets, Lord Hodge held that Scots law was the governing law. He directed that under Scots law Ticketus’ interests in seats at the Ibrox stadium, the tickets and the sale proceeds of those tickets were purely contractual rights and were not trust rights which would prevail over ordinary creditors in an insolvency."
  7. " EXCLUSIVE: Rangers sponsors turn on Joey Barton after Ibrox departure. RANGERS sponsors 32Red have stuck the boot into Joey Barton. They are offering the first 100 fans who can prove they have binned his autobiography ‘No Nonsense’ a free £10 bet for Rangers' next home game against Dundee. Some furious supporters believe Barton used joining the club as leverage to sell as many copies of his book as possible. And 32Red have moved to make sure that Rangers fans aren’t left out of pocket by giving back the cost of the book in a free bet. 32Red spokesman Gerry Murray said: “#BartonBinned is our way of proving that whilst Mr Barton is happy to use the fans of this magnificent club to sell more copies of his book, we are committed to making them, along with all our customers feel like the big deal. “Whilst we can’t expect to make a significant dent in Barton’s bulging pockets, we will at least be doing our bit to help Rangers fans get some revenge whilst making a bit of cash of their own.” http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/561181/Joey-Barton-Rangers-sponsors
  8. The paperwork for the contract was probably completed in London or somewhere else down south but Scottish law applies as Ibrox is up here. It's like me renting out my house - it doesn't matter where the paperwork is done, the house is in Scotland.
  9. Sorry to repeat myself from other matches, but is Fletcher still on the field ? For playing that absolute dud alone every one of the last few Scotland managers deserved to be sacked and I hope Chesney does the honourable thing tonight straight after the whistle blows. And takes that useless cant McGhee with him.
  10. Is it McAllister who's co-commentator on STV ? "Wallace gives it away". No he didn't ya fanny. Wallace was brilliant defending, beating a man and giving it to a Scotland player. Brown was your man.
  11. McArthur on. Morrison off. I didn't even know Morrison was playing.
  12. Wallace has done well considering the garbage surrounding him. Best Scots player has been Alanya imo.
  13. 3-0 now. Brown running the risk of losing it completely and a red card. Still no sign of Fletcher. What's the betting Chesney brings on a centre half to avoid further embarrassment ?
  14. But there were other costs, stadium repairs, etc, involved in the contract between the seller and buyer. Proof of funding was required . It was not just a matter of handing over a quid mate. Murray also had ample opportunity to claim breach of contract and take the club back off Whyte. The fact he didn't says all we need to know about Murray.
  15. btw - the English ITV coverage is running about 2 seconds behind the STV broadcast.
  16. Has Fletcher touched the ball yet ? A fecking waste of a clean jersey imo.
  17. Oldco won't owe anything to Ticketus if it's found that Whytes acquisition of Rangers was fraudulent. If somebody agrees to buy something from me for a tenner but I then steal the tenner from his pocket there is no contract between us. That's my reading of things.
  18. The folk with most to gain from any success we might gain are the board BD. It's early days yet and I'd reckon our guys gaining total control over the business by holding shares is the most important thing. I wouldn't put it past Ashley to hoover up any available shares simply to allow him to give us midgie bites every so often, costing the club money. Gain control through shares and let our boardroom of millionaires fund the squad or whatever. I said a while ago that top six is the best or worst we'd get. Next season will take care of itself. The exact percentages of how our investments are used is something I'm oblivious of. I just hand my money over trusting that there are guys working in our best interest.
  19. Here is a clue - do you yourself believe a word of what he is alleging ? Maybe I posted it to give an insight into the shyte that mob are being fed on a daily basis ? Why so serious ? If you don't like it, ignore it. It's that simple.
  20. There's nobody in here asking you to care.
  21. Which emocion did you miss out there mate ?
  22. I know nothing about the lad, but my limited experience of Uruguayans screams out, hot-headed, reckless, dirty, diving, cheating, etc, etc. Wearing a Rangers jersey while playing for us in a Scottish league ? Really ???? It's bad enough signing bench warmers without adding stand seat warmers too.
  23. Only a fool would believe that stewarty. The tarred one assures me that Barton will be paid every penny he is due for 2 years up to the date his contract ends. His agent has threatened to sue Rangers over his medical details being released. They are currently in talks. Rangers want to pay monthly for 2 years. The agent wants it all paid by Christmas or he'll drag us into court. You have been warned !
  24. I'm completely ignorant when it comes to financial matters concerning football clubs so forgive me if I'm way wide of the mark here - is there not something in football regulations about clubs having to live within certain financial limits ? I know that the obsessed have been prattling on for months now about complaints being made to the football authorities of money being loaned to our club. Is it possible that the club are working to reduce the value of any debt so that money can later be loaned to address the squad, etc ? As I say, I'm possibly just dribbling at the mouth here.

    Barton

I'll take on board your point about dB bringing it into this thread. But we should never be embarrassed to bring the subject up. As for the issue getting plenty of media attention at the time - sorry, but that simply isn't true. The Record exposed it. A couple of other papers made mention of it. But NOBODY, EVER questioned or demanded enquiries into the actions of anyone at Parkhead in relation to the cover up, ups if we include the Cairney affair, that went on there. Also, it was many, many years ago. Speak to your average Rangers fan and all they'll know is Big Jock Knew. That's the limit of their knowledge on this scandal.
