  1. Only lasted about 20 mins. Just enough to wet the streets, Not enough to do any good.
  2. Cadden springs to mind. He is a good player.
  3. One last post on the weather. Yes! Yes! It is Frick'n Raining. Thunder lightning and RAAAAIIIIINNNNN. I never thought I would say that.
  4. To be fair Gerrard did say he was a couple of weeks behind the other players.
  5. Umar Sadiq has not travelled to Croatia. Word is he is not fit enough yet.
  6. Gerrard eyeing up move for Manchester City kid Kean Bryan RANGERS are eyeing a move for Manchester City kid Kean Bryan. Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard has been on the hunt for a left-sided central defender all summer. GETTY IMAGES - GETTY 2 Kean Bryan is on Steven Gerrard’s radar SunSport understands 21-year-old Bryan is on the Gers gaffer’s radar after impressing on loan at Oldham last season. The former England Under-20 cap has just 12 months left on his City deal and would be able to move permanently. Versatile Bryan can also play in midfield but spent last season operating in central defence for Oldham. He partnered Anthony Gerrard, the Rangers manager’s cousin, at the back and won the club’s Young Player of the Year award. Bryan then returned to the Etihad at the end of the season but is not part of Pep Guardiola’s plans. Several Championship clubs have been tracking him but it’s understood Gers have now expressed an interest. EPA 2 Gerrard has been on the hunt for a left-sided central defender Gerrard has already snapped up Connor Goldson, Nikola Katic and Jon Flanagan to bolster his defence. However, he still wants a left-sided centre-half to provide balance. He had been chasing Millwall’s Jake Cooper but the Championship side have refused to part with one of their top men and Gerrard is looking elsewhere. Blackpool’s Curtis Tilt has also been watched but Rangers have now been alerted to Bryan’s availability. Ibrox director of football Mark Allen knows the defender well from his days in the City academy. Gerrard will also have been given a glowing recommendation from his cousin, who described Bryan as “a Rolls-Royce”. Speaking last season, Anthony said: “Kean has been a fantastic signing for us and he found a settled position at left centre half. “He had moved around a little bit in the early spell, but once he got an established position he looked comfortable and assured. “Kean was like a Rolls-Royce, he was brilliant on the ball and led the game fantastically well. “He needed the physicality that he got after a few games — and he now has the gist of men’s football.” The 6ft 1in defender joined City a decade ago and has represented England from Under-16 to Under-20 level https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/2975330/kean-bryan-rangers-manchester-city-transfer-news-steven-gerrard/
  7. That is one godsend that the humidity is pretty low. I think i saw 33% somewhere. There is not a cloud in the sky.
  8. GLASGOW is set to swelter in the sun this week as the heatwave that swept the UK returns. Parts of Britain could see temperatures rise to 35C (95F) this week as the country remains warm in extreme hot weather that is gripping northern Europe. An amber “heat health watch” warning, put out when temperatures are predicted to hit 30C (86F) during the day and 15C (59F) at night for at least two consecutive days, has been issued for parts of England.
  9. I honestly do not envy you believe me. I am great to 28 degrees and then it should stop at that. 152 days 10 hours and 5 minutes to Christmas.
  10. Getting not very funny here actually. 35\36 degrees for the next few days and in the 16 day forecast only 1 day under 30 degrees. I only go outside if totally necessary as it is far too hot. I was going to go to the boat but sitting and sleeping on a piece of metal in this temperature just doesn't entice me enough. I have never witnessed these temperatures before and they have broken the record set in 1976 when I was still living in Scotland.I think we have had 1 day rain since this started at the end of April but my hat off to the Germans as we have no water bans yet. They have said to try and save water by using used water to water the plants with. I have ordered a swimming pool so hopefully it is here for the weekend and we can go for a dip to cool off. No BBQ today it is a fish salad so nobody has to cook.
  11. Seemingly there was a 1 million get out of jail card and Rangers thought they would pay the 1mill and be rid of the fat man. SD are arguing that the deal is worth more and Rangers just can't pay a million without SD getting to make an offer, Post from FF. I may not be quite so simple as that. SDI appear to have the right to cherry-pick elements of the contract and that could, potentially, screw us over something rotten. This was discussed all the way back in post #425 when @BrownBrogues provided this excellent response to my query on what 'could' happen if SDI only chose to match a single option: I was hoping you would’nt ask me, cause of the work involved to put it together, I couldn’t be bothered LOL But here you go. Worst case, Judge Sides with SD, agrees their position to consider matching offers under the 3 aspects has been prejudiced. He gives Rangers a timescale to provide the breakdown, and Ashley the time lost to consider thus delaying release of kit further. 3 Aspects (i) the right to operate and manage the Retail Operations; (ii) the right to perform the Permitted Activities in relation to the Branded Products and/or the Additional Products; and/or (iii) the right to perform the Permitted Activities in relation to the Official Kit and/or the Replica Kit." He takes 1, then he has nothing to sell, but new provider can’t operate Megastore or the Website. He takes 2, but not 1 and 3, he gets to sell non Hummel Merchandise but no control over Store or Website. So another provider could sell Hummel Kit by operating the Store and Website, but they could not sell Non Hummel Merchandise only kit. He Takes 3 and leaves 1 and 2, he can sell official Hummel kit via Sports Direct, the Megastore and Website can be operated by another part but only for non-Hummel kit merchandise. But this is in terms of what SD argues the rights are under Schedule 3 1.1.4 but why McCormick QC for Rangers argues Schedule 3 “is not a commercial construction and makes no sense in the context of the definition of "Offered Rights" in paragraph 1.1.4, beginning, "each of the following rights in whole or in part", which he emphasises. He says that SDIR's stance is predicated on the basis that there are only three rights, and it is submitted that that is not correct when one looks at the composition of paragraph 1.1.4 and, indeed, the definitions within such paragraph. It is said that SDIR's construction would give rise to what Mr McCormick described as "a commercial and practical absurdity". So you can draw up your own worst case, if SD successfully argue that their interpretation of 1.1.4 is agreed by the Judge by looking at the implication of each of the 3 rights or a combination. I need to lie down now.
  12. We looked a far younger team and played by far the better football in that clip. well done guy's.
  13. You make me feel old. RIP Jock!
  14. I think Waghorn would love to have been playing for us now with this style.
  15. Yes I like Cadden. We should be looking at him anyway.

  17. Great listen again. Steven Clifford is really an excellent addition to the team.
  18. WIND OF CHANGE Rangers star Josh Windass wanted by FOUR English clubs including Premier League duo West Ham and Burnley, according to reports The 24-year-old featured in both Europa League games against Shkupi but could find himself on the bench this Thursday Gossip By Gary Taylor 24th July 2018, 4:27 pm Updated: 24th July 2018, 4:28 pm JOSH WINDASS is reportedly being chased by FOUR English clubs. The Rangers star, 24, has featured regularly under new boss Steven Gerrard but faces competition for a starting berth from the club’s summer signings. Willie Vass 1 Josh Windass is highly-regarded down south According to the Daily Mail, Windass has plenty of admirers down south, including Premier League duo West Ham and Burnley. West Brom and Aston Villa have also been credited with an interest. Windass joined the Ibrox side on a free from Accrington Stanley two years ago and Gers will hold out for £3million. The attacking midfielder only signed a new long-term contract in February with his deal now running until 2021. But new boss Steven Gerrard could be tempted to cash in on the player, who could be benched for Thursday’s Europa League clash against Osijek in Croatia.
  19. DOM AVOIDS CHOP Rangers target Dominic Solanke DOESN’T feature on Liverpool’s £100million clear-out with up to EIGHT players facing the chop Gers boss Steven Gerrard has been forced to play the waiting game all summer, hoping Klopp would sanction a loan deal for Solanke By Ryan McDonald 24th July 2018, 4:15 pm Updated: 24th July 2018, 4:17 pm LIVERPOOL are set to axe eight first-team stars this summer in a £100million clear-out – but Rangers target Dominic Solanke isn’t one of them. Boss Jurgen Klopp wants to trim his squad before the transfer window closes, with Loris Karius and Danny Ings two potential high-profile departures. Getty Images - Getty 3 Dominic Solanke has impressed Jurgen Klopp during pre-season But in a hammer blow to Gers gaffer Steven Gerrard, top target Solanke doesn’t feature on the reported chop list. Reds legend Gerrard has been forced to play the waiting game on a loan deal for the England cap all summer, with Klopp undecided on his future. But it’s now believed the ex-Chelsea striker will stick around at Anfield this season in a bid to make a breakthrough. And unless Stevie G can convince Klopp the 20-year-old would be best served heading to Ibrox, he will be forced to turn his attentions elsewhere. EPA 3 Steven Gerrard had wanted Solanke to lead his attacking line According to the Daily Mail, Ben Woodburn – who has also been linked with Gers – will be allowed to spend the campaign elsewhere to further his development. A move to Govan appears unlikely though following the arrival of Ryan Kent, who plays in the same position. WIND OF CHANGE Josh Windass wanted by FOUR English clubs, including two in EPL Meanwhile error-prone keeper Karius looks set for an exit after he was replaced by £67million Brazil stopper Alisson. Former Burnley star Ings also wants to resurrect his career away from Merseyside after growing frustrated at his lack of action and could be sold for around £20m. USA TODAY Sports 3 Jurgen Klopp is ready to axe up to eight first-team stars – but Solanke is one he wants to keep Brendan Rodgers signings Lazar Markovic and Divock Origi have also been transfer listed. Markovic, 24, has impressed during pre-season but will be allowed to leave should an offer of £7m come Liverpool’s way. The Reds also want £27m for Belgian striker Origi, who spent last season on loan at Wolfsburg.
  20. This was the game I was thinking about. Fleck was called up to take part in the full squad pre-season tour of Germany.[4] Fleck was handed his debut for the first team against SV Lippstadt 08 on 15 July 2007, becoming the first 15-year-old to play for the first team since Derek Ferguson[5] in 1982. Fleck impressed and scored in a 3–1 friendly victory over Sportfreunde Lotte in the next friendly game. We actually won that one 3-1. that is where I got the 3-1 from. I was at both the Lotte games as it is only about 45 mins down the road from here. I also saw us playing Quick Oldenzaal in Holland under Advocaat. I sat waiting in the social club after the game expecting the players to come in for a drink but they were ushered directly on to the bus and driven away. Rangers also used to stay in a sport hotel in de Lutte just inside the Dutch Border and I watched them train there a few times. That is within cycling distance from me. The brother of Mark Wotte was the agent that used to arrange things for Rangers in Holland and Germany. I met him when I was lying in Hospital and his father-in -law lay in the bed next to me. His f-i-l told him I was a Rangers supporter and he all of a sudden started singing the sash. He said he was good friends with McCoist. I had no idea who he was and shocked when he started singing the sash.
  21. I was at Sportfreunde Lotte game but obviously getting mixed up with the 3-1 score and the bath slippers that must have been another year. I take my hat off for all the guy's that can remember things that happen in games in the sixties my memory of games is hopeless.
