I know,we all want this nightmare to end mate, but we have to make a stance, either that or we just roll over and take it. -

"But at the same time, if Allan McGregor or Lee Wallace or Steven Whittaker get injured when they are playing for Scotland, how do we replace them?" An excellent statement and as good a reason as any for withdrawing our players from the international squad -

Of course it's worth it!. You may find you are in the minority,it's up to each individual what they want to do but NO SURRENDER is the cry. -
RANGERS fans' chief Andy Kerr today urged the club to fight the legalities of the SFA's transfer embargo to the ends of the earth. And in a stark warning, Kerr also insisted that the Ibrox support will mobilise themselves to ensure the ramifications of the ban will be felt by ALL SPL clubs. Kerr said: "There is widespread anger among the Rangers fans, as you can well imagine. We will take a stand now." Last night's decision by a three-man appeal body to uphold the original punishment of a 12-month transfer embargo on players over the age of 18 has been met by a furious response from the Rangers support and Kerr has warned that they will not take the decision lying down. Rangers' administrators were today weighing up their options but look certain to take legal action against the SFA, possibly in civil courts or the Court or Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Switzerland. Several first-team stars have cut-price get-out clauses in their contracts after agreeing to wage cuts and, should they activate them and leave, Gers would be unable to sign replacements. Already, Everton are eyeing a swoop for Steven Naismith, who has a £2million trigger release. The Rangers Supporters' Assembly will now: *Lobby the club to withdraw from the Scottish Cup next season. *Plan to boycott all away games. *Put pressure on sponsors. *Call for Rangers players to withdraw from the Scotland squad to face the USA in Florida later this month. Kerr added: "We feel that while our circumstances are unique, they are not exceptional, yet the SFA seem to be focused on making some kind of an example here. "There have been other clubs this season who have not been able to pay the wages of their players, yet there has been very little in the way of punishments handed out for that. Ultimately, we have to do what we think is the best course of action now. "We met when the SFA first announced the transfer embargo and had preliminary discussions about what to do. But at the time we felt we were jumping into it too quickly, and we wanted to wait and see whether or not common sense would surface at an appeal. "That hasn't been the case and the club need to take this fight all the way. They have to challenge this tooth and nail. "The body of opinion is definitely behind taking the players out of the national team, although personally I would have to say that I am cautious about pushing for such a thing because it isn't particularly fair that the international career of a player is hampered because of this situation. "But at the same time, if Allan McGregor or Lee Wallace or Steven Whittaker get injured when they are playing for Scotland, how do we replace them?" Kerr also believes that the whole of Scottish football will be punished because of the embargo. He added: "When Rangers signed Steven Naismith from Kilmarnock, the sale went a long way to ensuring that the Rugby Park club did not go into administration. "There are lots of players in the SPL that I am sure Rangers will have been looking at, and the bottom line is that buying these guys from other Scottish clubs benefits the game. "If you take that out for a year then I am sure there will be one or two clubs who will feel it. "The Rangers support need to do everything within their power to make a stand now. "We are bitterly disappointed at the decision to uphold the embargo ... but it is not finished yet." http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/fans-chief-rangers-must-fight-sfa-ban-to-ends-of-the-earth.17622222

No,but what I'm trying to say is that if we can retain our current squad we will challenge,we can't spunk it on new signings so why not keep a good strong squad together?. If we need to reduce the wages then the transfer embargo doesn't affect us as we couldn't afford to sign anyone anyway.
-
What happened to the war chest Ally is getting?
-
Could this transfer embargo have a positive aspect on our future?. This may just force the hands of Green & his consortium to get all our current players signed up and retained, add the young players who have made the break through this season signed up on extended contracts,I believe we have a strong enough squad to win the title should this happen.

Should the club wish to take the matter any further, FIFA's Dispute Resolution Chamber is their next port of call, followed by a potential case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/rangers/100214-rangers-administrators-argue-scottish-fa-ban-is-not-enforceable/

Everton prepare cut-price swoop for Steven Naismith
ian1964 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
This is priority,we are gonna be fecked if we caan't hold onto our squad to start the new season, then again that is the SFA/Liewell/SPL agenda -
KENNY DALGLISH is being lined up as part of the Charles Green fronted Green Gang who want to take control of Rangers. I revealed yesterday there is now a growing belief that that there are no MEN OF MYSTERY from Europe, Singapore, India, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi or Saudi Arabia hiding in the shadows and ready to lend their financial muscle to the unexplained and perhaps even inexplicable Green Gang offer for the Ibrox club And that it seemed more like the bid was being fronted by Charles Green on behalf of his boss, Manchester based Michael McDonald and the controversial banned by the FA, Paul Stretford. I also made it clear that I believed another man was in the frame to join the Green Gang, hinting at his identity by saying he is a Scot with a high profile in football who could not be named because he was still in a job. Heâ??s not now, though. So today I can reveal that the man I firmly believe will join the Green Gang to try and snare Rangers is former Celtic star, former Celtic manager and former Celtic director of football, Kenny Dalglish. Dalglish was of course sacked by Liverpool yesterday after his second stint as boss lasted a mere 16 months and saw the Anfield club endure their worst season for decades. The links Dalglish has with Charles Green and with Paul Stretford are there for all to see. Stretford set up and ran the Proactive Agency. Charles Green also worked for Proactive. And Kenny Dalglish owned TWO MILLION shares in Proactive. On top of that, Green gabbed that he would soon show how serious he was and how much expertise he had at his command by unveiling a top football name, a Scot, as being Ibrox-bound if the Green Gangâ??s bid for Rangers is successful. At first it was thought by some that it Graeme Souness was who Green was talking about. I never bought into that. And now Souness has come out in clear and unambiguous terms, saying no, he has not been involved with the Green Gang and no, he would not become involved with the Green Gang. Which means the trail now leads to Kenny Dalglish, whose job as Liverpool manager was hanging by a thread when Green spoke last Sunday. On Wednesday, that thread snapped. Michael McDonald is the main man in all of this. Charles Green is merely the front man. The mouthpiece. But it is the feared Michael McDonald who barks the orders and calls the shots. And he has said that Stretford, once banned from being an agent for 18 months and fined £300,000 by the FA, will move in at Ibrox to assume full responsibility for buying and selling players. That means a seat on the board with unsupervised access to the Ibrox cheque book. Even with a year-long ban on them buying players remaining in force, Rangers can still sell players and any experienced agent can make a killing. Stretford is extremely experienced in making backdoor deals. It is unlikely the Green Gang will be waiting for any financial investment in Rangers from Kenny Dalglish. The more likely role for the former director of football at Celtic, would be for him to move in to the same highly paid job at Ibrox. Michael McDonald will no doubt install himself as executive chairman, again at a hefty salary, with Charles Green in overall day to day control of all Rangers operations as chief executive. Again, with a mind boggling salary. That is the Green Gang. These are the men who want to take control of Rangers. I believe Kenny Dalglish will eventually be to be one of them. These are the men Scottish Football Association chief executive, Stewart Reagan, must investigate. Dalglish, of course, is an open book. Charles Green and Michael McDonald were chief executive and chairman respectively of Sheffield United, therefore the FA in London may be able to assist the Hampden hierarchy. While a perusal of the court records from the blackmail trail at Warrington Crown Court which collapsed when Paul Stretford was judged to have given evidence which misled the court, plus the FAâ??s judgment on the controversial ducker and diver, can assist Regan and the SFA to make their minds up about Stretford. All of the facts, about all of the people, can also assist Rangers supporters make up their minds if these are the sort of men they want to take control of their club. Just as those who work for Rangers will get their opportunity to assess Green when he addresses all of the club's staff today. Some may even be moved to ask him if Kenny Dalglish is set to become a member of the Green Gang which wants to snare Rangers. ....... AND...... LLOYDS BANK hold their Annual General Shareholders meeting in the Edinburgh Exhibition Centre today. And I understand there could be fireworks over the role they played in the sale of Rangers by David Murray to banned company director, conman and trickster, Craig Whyte. Questions will be asked of the Lloyds board of directors by concerned Lloyds shareholders, who are also Rangers supporters. Hacks should keep an eye on it. And anyone who wants a wee insight into which shareholders will be grilling the Lloyds Board should give me a call.

CHARLES GREENâ??S Rangers takeover has been dealt a potentially devastating double whammy. Last night the SFA refused to rescind a 12-month ban on buying new players â?? as Everton prepared to launch a cut-price swoop for Steven Naismith. The crisis-ravaged Ibrox club was left reeling again when an appeal against a year-long transfer embargo â?? and a £160,000 fine â?? was booted into touch in a late-night hearing at Hampden. The sanctions were handed out last month after a top-level probe into dealings by the shamed Craig Whyte regime but Rangers had hoped for some mercy to be shown yesterday. Would-be new owner Green â?? whose plans to save the club from liquidation have been described by his own backers as being dependant on recruiting new players this summer â?? could even be forced to think twice about continuing with his proposed £8.5million rescue package. Green insisted last night he will back a Duff and Phelps-led appeal against this latest decision. Administrator Paul Clark said: â??The club will consider seeking review of this most disappointing decision and it is a matter of regret that the certainty and finality Rangers sought on this matter has not been achieved. â??Everyone at Rangers is bitterly disappointed and dismayed at this outcome.â? Green added: â??Our group went into the purchase of the club with this sanction in place but we hoped the decision would at least be commuted. We fully support the club as it considers an appeal against this latest decision.â? The full scale of the crisis engulfing the club was highlighted when Record Sport learned talisman Naismith could be the first of seven star players to be lured away for a knockdown price. Former Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic has urged Everton boss Davie Moyes to land Naismith for a £2m snip. Moyes has already held discussions with Jelavic and former Rangers skipper Davie Weir about launching a raid on Rangers for the Scotland man when the transfer window opens for business on June 1. And Jelavic â?? who has been a smash hit in the Premier League since swapping Govan for Goodison in January â?? has pleaded with Moyes to reunite him with his former strike partner who, as we revealed yesterday, is one of seven star names in Ally McCoistâ??s first-team squad available on the cheap. Jelavicâ??s opinion is highly valued by Moyes, the rest of the clubâ??s coaching staff and the money men on Merseyside who are still preening themselves over the £5m capture of the Croat on the final day of the January sales. And even though Naismith is still recovering from the second cruciate ligament injury of his career, Moyes believes that, at just £2m, itâ??s a gamble Everton can hardly afford not to take. Moyes is also aware of the growing interest among rival bosses in the ongoing crisis situation at Rangers and may plead with his board to realise enough funds to enable him to move early for Naismith. A conservative estimate of around £17m could be wiped off the value of McCoistâ??s squad unless Green can talk his star men into ripping up their rewritten deals . After last nightâ??s ruling, if he canâ??t itâ??s hard to see how Rangers will be able to function as a competitive force at all next season. Last night the SFA released a statement which said: â??It was competent for Disciplinary Tribunal to impose the additional sanction of prohibiting registrations of any new players of 18 years or older for a period of 12 months. â??The Disciplinary Tribunal was correct in holding that the maximum fine available for this breach was £100,000, and on its own was inadequate as a punishment for this misconduct. It was therefore correct to select an additional sanction. â??The sanctions available included expulsion from participation in the game and termination or suspension of membership of the SFA. The Disciplinary Tribunal rejected these as too severe and this tribunal agrees with that conclusion. â??Although this tribunal has listened carefully to the representations from Rangers about the practical effects of the additional sanction, it has concluded that this sanction was proportionate to the breach, dissuasive to others and effective in the context of serious misconduct, bringing the game into disrepute.â? Allan McGregor, another prime target for rival clubs seeking to raid Ibrox for top players at bargain basement prices, insists he wants to stay at Rangers. When asked if he sees himself remaining at Ibrox, McGregor said: â??I hope so. Obviously I canâ??t look into a crystal ball but in my heart I hope so. â??Iâ??ve never really thought about what if it goes beyond the time frame and nothing happens. Iâ??m just trying to stay positive and hope that something gets done sooner rather than later.â? http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/2012/05/17/rangers-in-crisis-sfa-uphold-transfer-ban-on-ibrox-club-as-everton-prepare-cut-price-swoop-for-steven-naismith-86908-23862431/

I could be wrong, but how can a newco get punished ?
-
I would like to see Rangers refuse to participate in the Scottish Cup next season, which I believe was one of the options the SFA had to hit us with,I wonder why they didn't?
-
It wouldn't affect a newco IMO

AN SFA independent appeals panel has this evening upheld a decision to impose a 12-month transfer embargo on the club. Duff and Phelps, administrators of Rangers Football Club, issued the following statement tonight. Paul Clark, joint administrator, said: "The decision by the appellate tribunal to uphold the sanction, namely the suspension of registration of players for one year, is not competent in the view of the Club and its legal advisers. "Such a sanction was not available to the tribunal and should not have been imposed and it is the intention of the Club to challenge the determination. "The Club will consider seeking review of this most disappointing decision and it is a matter of regret that the certainty and finality Rangers sought on this matter has not been achieved. Everyone at Rangers is bitterly disappointed and dismayed at this outcome." Charles Green, who leads a consortium purchasing the Club, said: "Our group went into the purchase of the Club with this sanction in place but we hoped the decision would at least be commuted. We fully support the Club as it considers an appeal against this latest decision." Sandy Jardine, spokesman for the Rangers Fans Fighting Fund, added: "Rangers supporters will be shocked and bitterly disappointed by this decision and will find it hard to take that the Club has been so heavily punished for the actions of individuals."

Then I can't think of a better way to spend it chasing these corrupt bastards through the courts
-
@BBCchrismclaug: #Rangers statement due shortly. It's expected they will continue to fight the decision. Perhaps outwith football authorities.

How will this affect the take over ?
