Tiraspol and Zenit were the only "easy" draws in this hat, since both wouldn`t have played much football during the winter. The rest are "hard to solid" ... and the German sides are generally tough. Dortmund isn`t only about Haaland, yet, I would assume we will have our people being clued up about them. Most likely a solid midfield and defense and pace to counter with Sakala, Kent, Morelos and Arfield plus Aribo behind them.

Zenit, played really well against Chelsea though

Was a good game - 3 pens and some old fashioned takles plus a wee scuffle at the end 🙂

Chelsea needed that win and keeps them in the chase.

They sure did despite not playing well. Handbags and Gladrags at the end lol

Mendy has been a bit erratic in recent games, going by the Chelsea form book Tuchel is five more defeats from the old heave ho 😂

You are probably right. Club legend Di Matteo won the champions league then 10 games into the season they sacked him !! Nobody is safe!!

Bad defeat for Chelsea as added with draw in midweek, pulls them back into the pack. Huge win for Hammers tho.

Created our own downfall with some crazy mistakes. Who told Mendy he didnt have to put the ball in row Z and also fall asleep?

John Sillett, former manager of Coventry City, also died today making it a very sad day for football. What he did for Coventry in the 1987 FA Cup was amazing and I am sure he will never be forgotten by the club's fans.

He and his brother Peter played over 360 games for Chelsea between them and both won a first division winners medal in 1954. Sadly missed the both.

Brighton fans booing the team after a 0-0 with Leeds.

    They've got a cheek!

Once these diddy teams get a taste of success, they take it for granted. A bit like Leicester.

A bit like Charlton years back when there fans complained about always finishing 6th or 7th and got Curbishley booted out. Now they look up from league 1 :)

I am rather fond of ketchup but it's got to be Heinz none of this cheap stuff 😂

Strangely, I have a sort of phobia to the stuff, i'm the one people wait behind at McDonalds getting burgers with no ketchup in them :) I can't watch TV if people are putting it on their dinners or can't have it on the table if i go in a cafe. But i can eat tomatoes. weird.

Its really funny to see irrelevant journalists posting articles about this which are almost immediately debunked by people like David Edgar and others with official & unofficial ties to the club. Really showing mainstream media up for what its become.

What purveyors of truth and reason? I think that ship sailed many many years ago :)

I heard this on the wireless and it said in their time in charge of Arsenal and United wenger spent more than Ferguson

Good stat, but i suppose Fergie saved a fair bit by having Scholes, Beckham, Giggs, Sharpe, Butt, the Nevilles, Wes Brown, Fletcher, O'shea, Evans and Wellbeck come through, whereas Wenger struggled after the defence he inherited got old and the replacements were poor.

I see what you’re getting at. Mancini opened the door for Guardiola to slip through.

How would the magic circle of managerial wizards get on at keeping Burnley in the top division for years? Not so well, I fancy.

How would Dyche get on at City or Chelsea? We’ll never know.

We saw Ranieri at Chelsea and it was a job too far for the Tinkerman as he froze. Though he did much better at Leicester where  expectation and resources were much less.
