The rumblings of discontent in SNP-run Scotland are well underway as we’ve seen these last few weekends....

I just hope people thinking of voting SNP (especially those Rangers supporters that we are told on this site support the SNP) wise up and see them for what they are and how an Independent Scotland would shape up

The best Scotland sides I saw were in the early sixties.

Caldow, Baxter and Law would have been in the GB team, possibly Brown and Henderson too before Best developed. Plenty of other Scots players would have been under consideration along with Danny Blanchflower and Jennings (NI) Cliff Jones and Ivor Allchurch (W) and Bobby Charlton, Jimmy Armfield, Jimmy Greaves and Bobby Moore (E)

You could make a decent team out of that. Now you would just have to pick England.

That would have been some team, i only ever saw Moore in one of his last games for Fulham as a kid after arriving down south with my family.

Did we not try a British team in the Olympics,  or am I just havering .

We did in 2012, though we declined to take part and it was just England and Wales with only three over 23s allowed and i think Ryan Giggs as Captain.

Cosgrove, Jum Spence, and now Michael Stewart have had numerous pops at McBurnie all week.

    What's their beef?

Of course, Oli is born'n'bred in England. Further, he admits to being a boyhood Rangers supporter in an ex-pat' Rangers supporting family.

And there you have it, an easy target for some pundits. McBurnie is from same background as me and my family. Even the Irish don't go after their English born players, else O'Leary, Aldridge, Lawrenson, McAteer, McGrath and Hughton as well as a couple of hundred more would have been singled out!!!

Something that is all wrong with the set up. His form is way better than McTominay yet the latter probably gets a game because he plays for Man Utd. Plus Clarke would be aware of the boo boys in the crowd.

Even if Jack played Right Back he should still start, he has played there on occasion and would have been better then O'Donnell.

Bates would start at centre half for me. Very promising centre half when at Ibrox, not sure Hamburg was the right move but I hope he progresses at Sheff Wed.

I fear that is always the way, manager get blinded by the PL despite the form of the individual player probably being indifferent.

  6. It's a great flag and Dickinson gets stick about his allegiance as the others are West Ham supporters. I'm a member of their fan club (needed for advance tickets)  He never misses the chance to wave the flag during "The Trooper" or "These Colours don't run" and any others he can!!!

  7. An unforced error and breakaway goal and we were in the game (albeit largely ineffective for parts) right up till the end. I feel that the expectation to beat them in every game is back and yes disappointed when we lose but we are close to achieving parity which after the last 7-8 years is an achievement. Saying that it still hurts.

  8. Southampton 1-1 Man Utd

    Chelsea 3-1 Sheff Utd

    Crystal Palace 1-1 Aston Villa

    Leicester 2-0 Bournemouth

    Man City 4-0 Brighton

    Newcastle 1-0 Watford

    West Ham 1-1 Norwich

    Burnley 0-2 Liverpool

    Everton 1-0 Wolves

    Arsenal 1-2 Tottenham

    and

    Rangers 2-1 Celtic

Sadly I think this might be my last ever European match at Ibrox tonight. It is impossible to concentrate on the football when you’re on edge for 90 minutes, not worrying about the other team scoring but worrying about what the fans are going to sing! Or worrying about Rangers scoring in case the fans celebrate with the wrong song.. football is no longer enjoyable, or at least no more enjoyable than watching it on the TV, so why bother paying Uefa the money??

You forgot about the ecstasy of scoring a goal only for it to be taken off you by a marginal offside or handball somewhere in the previous play ;)
