Sadly I think this might be my last ever European match at Ibrox tonight. It is impossible to concentrate on the football when you’re on edge for 90 minutes, not worrying about the other team scoring but worrying about what the fans are going to sing! Or worrying about Rangers scoring in case the fans celebrate with the wrong song.. football is no longer enjoyable, or at least no more enjoyable than watching it on the TV, so why bother paying Uefa the money??
You forgot about the ecstasy of scoring a goal only for it to be taken off you by a marginal offside or handball somewhere in the previous play

Hi guys just been made aware by my son of an article in Evening Times of a proposed dirty band☠️ parade in Govan on Friday, hope it doesn't come anyway near Loudon.
Yes there is a thread in the lounge that gives the details of this march on Friday.

Just realised tonight that there are only 6 qualifying slots available - it was 10 last year. So 26 clubs go through automatically, & the rest have basically next to bvgger all chance of qualifying at all?? This needs reformed if we are to ever see Rangers play in the Champions League again.
I thought they were going for a slightly expanded competition, didn't know that it was actually less!!

Yes, Halifax, Accrington, Darlington, Wimbledon, York City and I think Gretna have all been there for various reasons and come back. Good luck to Bury.

Just back from Paisley.... via London and now Kent and have to give it to Jack for his overall endeavour which does sometimes get overlooked, but pleased most on here feel the same this time. Good result which we may have drawn last year.

Bury 'sold', says owner Dale
Big breaking news from the Football League...
Owner Steve Dale has told BBC Radio Manchester he has agreed a deal to sell Bury as an EFL deadline for their possible expulsion approaches.

I'm hearing that the owner has allegedly rejected a bid for the club today with the hammer about to fall tomorrow. Suspicions of skulduggery with suggestions that he's looking to sell to developers.
He was on Talksport a few weeks back. He blames the previous owners for the mess and has allegedly spent £3m of his own money to try to sort things, plus he has terminal cancer. I'm not sure what is going on, but i think he wants proof of funds for any perspective new owner and may want some of his family money back?

Not sure its any other clubs duty to bail out other clubs.
With Bolton 6 miles up the road and the trouble they are in you wonder if a potential merger would benefit.
Would never happen. No matter how small the club, they still have their unique history. They would probably rather become a phoenix club a la Wimbledon, Aldershot, Darlington and Gretna among others.

Sad to see. If near neighbours Man Utd and City, gave the money made from one home game each i'm sure that would clear the creditors and the club could be sold to that interested party as a going concern. It's about time the PL gave a little back as without the FL clubs there would be no FAC, no League cup and nowhere for their young players to go out on loan.

Now, that would be something to see.

If the wind is a factor (and it usually is there) then it will be good practice for the players selected to keep the ball on the ground, one touch and get them to do the the running. Possession football will be the name of the game at the business park ground!!!

Embarrassing.

Does anyone know how much the club have made from the PPV, would be interested to know and how that compares to the amount they receive per game from Sky or BT sports
I'll take a look at that as i was wondering myself. I would have thought the BT / Sky money would eclipse PPV.

Pointless exercise. The two league games should have been designated additionally as home and away legs of the Final.
Yes, i'd go along with that, but when does Uefa ever think of either the fans, or the schedules of the teams - I'ts all about it's own prestige.

Probably a game both could do without. But the winners of the worst CL final ever against the winners of the worst Europa Cup final ever. Both games were appalling. The pressure on Frank Lampard already after the 4-0 defeat.
Not sure the Europa was that bad. Yes the location was awful, but there were 5 goals, 2 good goals by Hazard and Iwobi, a penalty and some good saves. There have been plenty of boring 0-0 Europa/Uefa cup finals.
