So you want to sit, so everyone else has to sit?
I really don't get why anyone would be against this. I much prefer standing at a match - loved some of the lower league games, as it felt like the old days and was generally more fun. I understand people don't want to stand but why impose that on everyone (particularly when over 50 RSCs have backed safe standing)?
And I never wanted all-seater stadiums, so it has nothing to do with what goes on at the Piggery.

The rules outlawing certain songs/words aren't being adhered to either.

And, whilst I am not saying that those who would be in a safe standing area are responsible, make it abundantly clear that safe standing wont be happening until the silly smoke bombs and flares are eradicated.
I know there have been some instances of smoke bombs but have Rangers fans EVER let a flare off at Ibrox? I haven't seen one. And the smoke bombs are usually seen at away games, I can't really think of many instances of them being set off by Bears at Ibrox.
Safe standing has the potential to make the atmosphere far better for the thousands who regularly attend. It's a priority because we surely want youngsters to come to the match and have a good day out - that way, they'll come back and bring their mates along.

We're all entitled to our opinions, John. I don't share yours about McCoist and there are quite a few like me in that regard.

It's a shame he didn't admit his own management was a contributory factor in our current status.
I'd look the other way if I passed McCoist in the street.

Good news from Club1872 and the club. Safe standing can only have a positive effect on the atmosphere and as so many RSCs back it, I see no reason why any Bear would be against it.
Hopefully it happens in the near future.

Lambert and Morelos would be a good front two.

Souness and Dalglish were up there.

Between jack and moreles surely.
Agreed. I'd give it to Jack.

Football is fast becoming NFL - just a playground for rich people, watched by tourists and gullible people with half and half scarves and a tonne of merchandise.
Everything the was great about going to the football - the tribalism, the community - it's all dying out.

Does Zwarte Piet know where the game will be played?

I just noticed we play AZ Alkmaar away on 17 Oct. I have a Dutch pal who is an AZ fan - I quite fancy a trip over for it.
Anyone know the story with where it will be played? I'd be less keen if it's just a field somewhere.

No interest whatsoever in them. Couldn't care less
Same here. Used to really love Scotland but now I don't even watch them. I'm not one for wanting them to lose - just not interested.

We're good in spells but tend to fade away in games. If we can develop some consistency, get stuck in to opponents and keep putting away chances, then we can improve a lot on last season's poor efforts.
Giving a good account of ourselves against the scum has to be done after that 5-1 disgrace.

I went to watch this match in Edinburgh today. Linfield won 2-1 and it was a fairly even match, although Linfield deserved the victory.
The Linfield fans seemed a good bunch - a wee bit of anti-Glentoran banter and the usual repertoire. I did notice a couple of younger lads wearing Tim tops in amongst the home fans ...they just can't help themselves.
Decent afternoon at the football though.

It's up to Pena himself and to a lesser extent PC to get the best out of him.
All we can do is hope. If he does what we hope, I think we have a cracking midfield on our hands.

I like Dodoo - clever player - and hope he does well down there.

Jack is a tidy midfielder. Unremarkable but when you actually watch what he's doing, he does it well.
Halliday was fairly useless a lot of the time. I have no idea what his preferred position is.

I think we are far better off after the window. Particularly in midfield and defence.

Not trying to be a dick about it mate, but surely we can forgive people the different pronunciations of the language. I use both myself given I have been out of the UK for so long - I just didn't see the need to pick someone up on something so trivial.
If I offended then I apologise.
No need to apologise.

They have a habit of employing criminals.

And ? Being based in Glasgow means we should all adhere to the English version of the language ? And here was me thinking we were an inclusive club.... At least the club are inclusive...
So, let me get this straight..... "RFC is based in Glasgow and that's what this forum is about" ??? So, we aren't about fans in Ireland, England, US, Holland (for you pete, and Atur Numan....) Asia, globally.... Indeed, we are about "Glasgow" so screw every other part of the country and our support... We are based in Glasgow so everything should be based on those terms ?
I think you should pick your words a little more carefully.
Okay, craig.

He wasn't great as a CH and that was in the lower leagues but he is a few years older now but even a village team like Rotherham don't fancy him though,
I thought he was decent in a defensive midfielder role.

Dom Ball is a season long loan.
First comment on Twitter from an Aberdeen fan ? "Hun". Go figure....
No surprises there. The sheep are or should be an insignificant club - let's put them back there.

Club1872 and safe standing

I think most of us are aware there won't be a return to old style terracing and only safe standing will be permitted.
