  1. No games played means an unbeaten run!!
  2. It must be for results, not performances....I'd have thought McGhee or Millhouse would be in with a shout: good results, tiny budgets.
  3. Okay, well as Frankie revealed....we did use ours, and it is due to be repaid in March. Sorry about creditors/debtors, I do know that but was typing fast. It is treated as a bank loan etc.
  4. He would cost more than Roque Santa Cruz!!!! No thanks.....
  5. Have we? We did. My worries: 1. Walter came out and said Cousin was his main striker, and the formation was based on him. We have no-one like him. 2. Adam is sh***, sorry to be blunt, and yet is a favourite. 3. Hutton struck fear into McGeadie...the next OF game would have seen no danger....now? Who knows?
  6. Agreed Frankie. SDM has spun two decades worth of 'honestly lads, wait....soon, honestly, next season...' and our passion, loyalty and hunger keeps us hanging on. when do we actually move towards the 'Ajax model' and stop talking? Where is the museum, cafe, youth system to be priud of etc? Why the endless promises? Where is the action?
  7. In summation we'd need someone like Frankie to sort it out but: 1. Without any credit facility we'd still have made a small loss on trading, despite CL football 2. With this in mind there is no way we could have repaid Murray's company 3. Hutton money used to repay this 'revolving facility' 4. Calscot says that we may as well use that money as debt still needed repaid anyway, does it matter what money we use 5. I say the debt was immoral, but that is irrelevant 6. It would seem that this money won't be available in summer, nor will any 'freed up money' as there is none...we will still post a loss for the financial year 7. The onlt 'splurge' will therefore come if we win league and have some guaranteed CL money coming...even then, we'll need to sell. Any advances?
  8. WHY IS IT ALWAYS BREAD AND WATER NOW, CAVIER AND CHAMPAGNE 'LATER' FROM SDM? WHY CAN'T WE MOVE TOWARDS REAL CHANGE NOW? WHY WAIT?
  9. The £9m from Hutton is going to SDM's company. SDM our Chairman put in place a 'revolving credit facility' which we used and have to repay now. Many may question why this was done. Calscot is right to suggest that it is one less debt we have, but this was never in our formal debtors list in balance sheet. BUT the morality is unclear; like Edmiston House, and Albion Ground, how did we end up in hoc to our 'glorious leader' after his disasterous mismanagement? That is the question. The next money we spend will be the season ticket money / CL money should we win league. This £9m from AH will never be seen again.
  10. Yes but the bulk of a squad that was tactically and technically inferior. I fear we still follow general trends....we should not be allowing our kids to play for other teams; no full sized pitches; no offside traps; they should be getting one touch training etc. We shall see....youth systems are worthless in themselves, they only attain value if they rear the kind of players we'd normally pay millions for. We need a Cuellar, or Prso, not more Charlie Adam types. Time will tell.
  11. I have no evidence of any player improving at Ibrox (sadly) let alone Scottish ones. The cream of the crop seems to be Ferguson, McFadden and that twat Fletcher at Man U..Scotland's best? Nowhere near the level needed. Thomson, Burke etc aren't even capped. My one hope is naismith who seems to have an eye for goal, and can play a bit....he could go on from here. Walter's track record here and Everton indicates stodgy play, solid pros he can rely on, safety first etc...I'll place a cyber bet through Frankie of one pint that we're as stodgy until May as we have been already!!! And that next season will be as stodgy as this...but that would be a second pint!!
  12. 1. We had a far better chance of retaining league by keeping squad together, that is a fact. 2. It is a gamble to believe we'll win it anyway because 'the mhanks are pure sh***' 3. The revolving credit facility was not paid off as we went along, it is to be paid off in one lump sum next month. We won't be better off month by month after repaying it. Frankie has fuller details than I do. 4. To add insult to injury we pay SDM £100,000 'placement fee' for having the credit facility. 5. The £9m won't be spent on players as Frankie has already said.
  13. Weir was solid but can't pass a ball....McCulloch doesn't inspire me. Burke is 24, Thomson 24. Look at Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Messi...and many more; all younger than most of our 'kids'. Our kids aren't kids, and are as good as they're going to be, yes a new coach could maybe inspire them with pass and move, and change the way they play, but at 24 you're not going to learn new technique, at least I don't think so.
  14. I don't think we have the players to get much better, except within a Scottish context. The 'limit' would be, for example, at the level the senior Scottish guys have reached, and they're all 'okay'. Ferguson can be above that but only when he chooses to be. I have been told time and again that next season we'll be like Brazil 70 but I cannot see where it would come from with our squad, coach, tactics and mindset...Sunday was a good example; terrible against Hibs, and yet no pressure with it being SPL. We still hit it long etc. I doubt Walter will ever play attacking football.
  15. he's still more talented than almost all our squad. We have seen the limits of 'he knows what it is all about and is a pure bear' and it can be okay to help stabilise, but the football we're playing is dreadful, and some of the players are shocking.
