  1. I just watched the press conference and Gio was asked directly about McAtee and I think there’s something in it! He seemed caught off guard to be asked directly and seemed to me to be trying to figure out a way to neither confirm nor deny. I think he’d be a very good addition.
  2. This is the last one I’ll post as I’m already cluttering the thread a bit, but this is against Blackburn U23s and shows his abilities better (3 assists and a goal here). For context, Blackburn finished 4th out of 13 in the U23s league and Man Utd finished 8th so they aren’t a bad team.
  3. This is another of those all touches video but for the senior team at a much higher level. A lot not coming off for him here tbh, but a couple of good contributions too.
  4. All Diallo’s touches against Leeds U23s earlier this season. I like these videos because they give a much better view of the player than the highlights videos do. He gets 2 goals and assist here, so involved in all 3 goals. Like most players in that position he has a tendency to pass inside and back the way quite a lot which can be frustrating when you just want to see him put on the after burners all the time (which isn’t possible anyway). He scorers a sublime goal here. For whatever reason he has only been in two U23 squads this season. No idea what he’s been doing all season?
  5. There’s truth in that but McAtee is very highly rated and looks excellent. I’m not sure what people are expecting to be honest, we aren’t splashing the cash in this window. We already have strong options with Arfield, Aribo and Jack returning and could just do with another attack minded midfield option for balance and McAtee appears to be that. If there’s any truth in the rumour of course.
  6. Looks like more players are coming. This guy appears to have had info from Romano recently which is quite surprising.
  7. I’ve given it to Lowry because of the quality of chances he created, he could easily have been walking away with a few assists. Sakala had a major influence and was deserving of the award though, despite being a bit wasteful. And Arfield could get it for that goal alone, a moment of pure magic that won the game.
  8. Sometimes they do. This won't be the first time this one has more or less confirmed it before it's become public knowledge. If it's true Diallo has been at the training centre today, all you need is someone you know who works there to ask.
  9. Well for the first time, defences will have two genuine threats on both our wings to worry about. I expect it will help Kent.
  10. FF admin Empire more or less confirming it by the way, or at least that he has info that it’s true too. I’ll be absolutely delighted when this gets announced.
  11. No he wasn’t. They’ve been working on a loan move for him, loads of interest in the Championship and he was close to joining Birmingham. I think it would take a decent loan fee for us to get him.
  12. Yeh, sometimes they are just well worth it.
  13. If the Diallo rumour is true we could have a better player than Olsen on our hands for a reasonable loan fee, rather than splashing the cash on a permanent signing not knowing if we are going to have UCL money coming in.
  14. He’s apparently at the training centre right now. Which would be how it’s leaked out.
  15. Apparently up to a million. Huddersfield have a significant sell-on.
  16. I'm looking forward to seeing the Ivory Coast flags around Ibrox...........😂
  17. A rumour! Someone on FF has said we are signing Amad Diallo from Man Utd (it would be a loan). I know nothing about him but he's supposedly very highly rated and he looks like exactly what we need. Very excited by this one. Only 19.
  18. He's not playing right back. Apparently they play wing backs but transfermarkt has him as right mid/right wing and the stats I saw were very much those of an attacking player with plenty opportunities in the final third. I'm not against his signing because he clearly has potential, but I'm not convinced there aren't better options out there. Bologna drive a hard bargain and his wages will be high too.
  19. He certainly looks like he could be that type of player. His lack of impact in Italy is a bit of a red flag though. Aaron Hickey has scored more than him in the same team from fewer appearances. There are surely loads of options out there, it would be disappointing if we're stuck with Wright and Sakala as our options for the rest of the season, the wide position just doesn't suit Aribo or Roofe.
  20. What I would do for a left footed goal-scoring right winger. Our options there seem to be Scott Wright and Sakala. As much as I’m happy with Sakala’s contribution, he shouldn’t be a starting right winger and Scott Wright isn’t up to it. It’s a real weak point in the squad. Lowry is a really good addition in the middle in terms of creativity and with Arfield and Jack returning I would very much doubt we’ll bring anyone in. Right back is the other obvious position, I was sure we’d bring someone in but it is looking like we are tightening the belt a wee bit and Sands will be covering a few positions. With the full backs less advanced now maybe we can get away with that, but an injury to Tavernier would still be pretty disastrous I think.
  21. I’m a bit concerned by his lack of goal scoring instinct. It’s the main criticism I’ve had of him since he came in really, that he just doesn’t look like enough of a goalscorer for a centre forward. I’d love to have a real poacher on the bench.
  22. Simple answer is versatility I think. Agree with Gonzo’s points too.
  23. If Gerrard was still here I doubt we’d be talking about Lowry. Lundstram would have started tonight.
  24. I think it’s different with Lowry. Lowry has always stood out like a sore thumb in Rangers junior sides and I really think he has the ability to contribute right now. Not as a first 11 player with Aribo returning but certainly as an active member of the team.
  25. What a finish that is!!
