  1. I know what you mean, it just looks odd, him in anything other than a Rangers top. Good move for him though.
  2. Sherwin doesn't even know. He said, "Clarence is his uncles uncle...or something like that"
  3. No, I think Jones is being given a chance to prove he can make it with us. Rightly so, before the infamous game that he injured himself, we has doing very well for us. Anyway, This not the right time for window dressing, this is a must win game.
  4. Kent again. We really can win Trophies this season as well as replicate last seasons EL form, if he continues to be the inspiration that drives this team to succeed. Exciting times.
  5. I don’t know how old you are RS, but perhaps you should watch (again?) a few games during the Walter Smith era. He was there at the side instructing, demanding, reminding...yet we had a team full of winners and captains, so your point doesn’t really stand up. And no I don’t subscribe to needing ‘hard men’ in midfield, not that it’s relevant to this point.
  6. It’s not a gimme, but I’m not in fear either. That team in purple were terrible at the back, especially their goalie.
  7. I don’t know what your point is. Are you imagining that it doesn’t happen?? Having recovered from being a goal behind, and in front, he should be reminding the players to keep their shape, stay focused, concentrate, you see it all the time. They needed that instruction yelled at them, since they were not able to think it for themselves, or god forbid we had a captain or two to keep them straight. Your post is belittling as well as baffling.
  8. Yep, I did the positive post thing after the Livi game, you know, blaming the hellish surface and anti-football, and that it was only August... Today, I'm not in such a mood. To be honest, I was overly confident on getting a result today. I let myself be fooled by the clean sheet record and that we were still top of the league (although that slipped away just before kick-off) despite having never really found 3rd gear in any of our games to date. Now I see the reality, the one I chose not to sneak-a-peak at earlier, and I now realise that we are a long way off being title challengers. We don't have the metal to find that one goal that will show we can fight...and win when up against it. Since the first game, Aberdeen away (when maybe we were just not a rusty as they were), the two biggest challenges we've faced have been Livi and Hibs away, and we failed to take the 3 points from either. Don't get me wrong, there IS a long way to go. We play them in a few weeks, and a win there will set us up nicely for some deja vu and another chance to get excited about it being our year. And that'll give me some more hope until we fall at beechers again. I'll never learn.
  9. Yes, we lost 2-2. Everyone knows a draw is a loss for us and a win for anyone else.
  10. The difference between the teams today was their hunger - they were psyched up and defended like their lives depended on it. Our defense had no such ‘urgency’ it was almost complacent (perhaps our clean sheet record went to their heads) , which was very disappointing after coming from behind. It’s like we never learnt our lesson from their first goal. From the start of the second half I thought we had found a way to dominate and win, but then complacency set in and we threw it away. I was surprised not to see SG screaming from the touchline, after all the one benefit of empty stadiums is that coaches can make themselves heard. in looking for positives, I’d say better to learn our lesson now and go on another 3 game winning run
  11. Sorry mate, but if we have to hope for others to do us a favor this early in the season we may as we’ll forget it. The problem for us, has always been the inability to find the winner at the end, whilst they do just fine in that regard. If we cannot string more than 3 wins together we will never win the title.
  12. Well that tells us everything we need to know. Sorry, I’m just spitting blood right now.
  13. Up against a world class goalkeeper yet again. So many of them in Scotland
  14. Certainly a few candidates on Saturday, but I opted for Scotty Arfield. Brilliant energy and drive when he came on and was very unlucky not to have had a brace.
