It'll be interesting to see how Eck gets on with the big boys. When he took over at Brum 2 seasons ago he was fighting a losing battle so to start a new season in the EPL will be interesting. They need some creativity in their team, they've struggled to score all season.

To be fair to Eck, two of his best offensive players (McFadden and Kevin Phillips) have been out injured for much of this season. Any team going up to the EPL needs to spend and spend big. Stoke have bought James Beattie and it's a signing that will ensure their EPL survival.

This season in the EPL a lot of 'established' clubs like Boro, Newcastle, Sunderland etc have struggled and this has helped the likes of Hull and Stoke to a certain extent. However, Hull aren't safe yet.

They dont create as many chances as they possibly should but his aim at the start of the season was to get out of the division and thats looking likely. If they do go up then they need guys like Seb Larsson and Faddy to turn it on. Faddy needs to stay fit as well but i reckon if teams like Newcastle go down and the likes of Hull and Stoke dont it could mean he has a fighting chance next season of staying in the Premiership

Still a full 2nd half to go.

Reading havent won in there last 8 games at home! Yet have cost me my coupon most of them. That record has cost them promotion.

Id rather Brum than Sheff Utd though.

Barnsley winning at Plymouth and Norwich getting beat 3-1 at Charlton.

Norwich will join Southampton and Charlton in League 1.

That league is beginning to gets its fair share of former EPL teams. If Leeds dont come up then there will be some good fixtures there next season.
