CammyF 7,014 Posted March 24, 2009 Share Posted March 24, 2009 I was lucky enough to be on the same flight to London as Hutton was when he signed for Spurs, and I can tell you that he didn't look like a player in a hurry to leave Rangers and sign for Spurs. He cut a lonely figure on the flight and at baggage reclaim and when I had a brief word with him whilst waiting on our luggage, he didn't sound excited about leaving Rangers. I said something along the lines of 'well it looks like you're going to Spurs then Alan. Thanks for the memories and for your time at Rangers'. He replied 'Aye, em, thanks...' and that was about it. I suppose the �£1M sweatener he received helped, but that day, I would have said he looked like a man who was somewhere he didn't want to be.
