Guess what Radio Clyde phone-in's first story was tonight

Recommended Posts

So what was RC's lead-in story tonight? what did Bitter Martin think was the most important story of today (Monday)?

Was it Celtic's loss to Dundee utd and Mowbray's laughable comments?

Was it Rangers CL game tomorrow night and Walter's selection dilemma?

was it perhaps the vacant Scotland job?

Or was it something more off-the-wall like the Scotland rugby team's great victory over the Aussies?

No. Of course not. It was the bloody Ireland France game AGAIN.

No agenda there, Peter.

They then moved onto the first call, which was a Celtic fan calling for Mowbray to go now. Bitter discussed this briefly with DJ and both agreed it was far too soon, and dismissed this (obviously off-message) idea as having "not much support then."

A shame that he didn't listen to Real Radio as the first 3 callers were also calling for Mowbray to go now. :giruy:

Loving their pain at the moment. :spl:

I listened to this too, my ghast was flabbered that last week's story was once again top of the Snyde agenda. Bitter portrayed it as a FIFA EGM, specifically called reference the France/Rep of Ireland game. Over on BBC Radio Scotland, it was fifth item on the Sports news and they specified the result was NOT up for discussion. The reason for the meet in South africa was betting related corruption in football.

On Saturday, Bitter continued to over egg this particularly rancid pudding by demanding justice for the Republic. He even blamed Thierry Henry for having a negative effect on the Irish economy. Nuremberg Hugh agreed, lamenting the continuing woes of the island. There you have it, we can expect a front page cover of the Economist, Thierry Henry's photo accompanied by the strap line, 'the man who wrecked the Irish economy'.

Bitter Martin is diseased.

The sound of silence would be my preferred station for sports broadcasts in Scotland. :(

These are not sports programmes in any sense. These are opportunities to show off the massive chip on the feenyan shoulder. Bitter people, consumed with inferiority.

Aye, my bad. Giving them a credibility they don't deserve by referring to them as sports programmes. Just highlighting the fact that I wouldn't listen to any of them as they all fall short of the required standard.
