Last time a Rangers side lost 2-1 to Falkirk it was our first team and included current players like Foderingham, Tav, Wallace, Halliday, Holt and £5m English Championship superstar Martyn Waghorn. Looks like they've done very well and could easily have scored a second. Going by the report it sounds like the Falkirk backline much preferred marking Sadiq to Middleton. I hope Middleton gets given more of a chance in the team because it seems clear he has more to offer than Sadiq at this stage. Looks like it's going to be Lafferty who will be a more than capable backup. I'd hoped for a targetman who was a bit younger and could make us money but looks like it's not to be. Would be a major boost if these guys were ready to come through. That's what we need as a club and there's always a danger of blocking their pathway with average senior backup players which ultimately prevents them from becoming better players. Very doubtful Rudden would leapfrog Hardie though. He's 3 years younger with no senior experience.
