Sometimes I worry about Boyd taking the penalties. Boyd seems to have put more control into them now and I am less worried, as he used to just hit and hope. However, more often than not his power peanlties usually ended up in the net. I knew Naismith would miss, if Novo was still on he would have scored. Fleck should have taken it imo.

Those who liked to bash Boyd with the "aye but half his goals are penalty kicks" comment, do you feel a wee bit daft each time someone else misses one?

Not so easy as some think eh?

Piece of pish. I scored a pen the other week for the 2nd in my hat-trick. Penalties are easy to score with :D

I actually kinda understand Alex McLeish's comment after we lost a semi final on penalties to Hibs (that our strikers don't like hitting dead balls) If the ball is static and you are tired, it must be quite difficult to get sufficient power in it. Naisy doesn't have that excuse tonight though haha

Felt sorry for Naismith because that miss won't have done his confidence much good, but he's only got himself to blame because after the ref pulled him back for a false start he should have taken a few seconds to compose himself before taking the shot.

Complete agree with that.

Felt he rushed it and it was a poor effort.
