I'll be convinced when I see some evidence so if it's available then let's see some. I've made my doubts plain and a few you have taken an opposite view, based I'm guessing on no more evidence than I have. I'll have no problem admitting I'm wrong ...... if I'm wrong ....... but at the moment it seems far fetched.

2 days before the herald story, where Mr. Ellis is quoted as saying 'This is the first I have heard of it (property problems re Ibrox environs)' I posted that he said 'we have not pulled out'. 2 days after my post, a seperate poster on a seperate forum, with an again seperate source corroberated it. Now, that is tenious at best, but it is something. As i said earlier, why on earth, if i was at it, would I say something that could so easily be disproven within minutes by a single word from Ellis? without having the knowledge I claim, it would be cyber-suicide at worst and a hell of a risk at best.

And for the 3rd time, what is 'all this info' you speak of?

Getting bored to death by all of the crossed wires, I asked my local cooncilor a planning committee member for a heads up on how this thing works, according to him as far as he is aware, the last contact with Rangers or anyone involved with Rangers with regard to anything outwith and covering tentative outline planning for areas around Ibrox, was at the time the super casino got torpedoed, I'll take his word for it.

Don't go congratulating yourself too soon. Basing your victory on something that isn't ever going to happen is proving nothing. Give the number to someone else on the same basis you obtained it and let's see if the same guy answers when they call. Give it to Frankie, give it to Canadianbacon on RM, give it to admin at VB. Then we'll see.

Firstly, where is the congratulating? what an utterly bizzarre thing to say.

secondly, and as you well know, I was given the number in confidence. that may mean little to you, it does not to me. On top of that, I hope, on a purely personal and probably a little selfish level to be given more info at a later date, why would i even consider risking that?

Thirdly, with all due respect to the names you mentioned, why would they be the end of it? what happens when someone on FF says 'well, NL and Frankie have talked before, it aint hard to imagine they are in cahoots'. do I then pass it on to a third person, then a forth and fifth?

lastly, I have invited you to come and listen in, anywhere you choose, indeed if Frankie or Bluedell or anyone else wishes to do that, fine.

As a ps, I hope you are big enough to appologise should proof indeed be forthcoming. I'm sure you are

Damn you, I was going to suggest that Frankie may be in on the scam.

I need to fess up, it was his idea. he knew that MF would ask for the number to be shared with Frankie, completing the circle.

In seriousness though, I'm at a bit of a loss as to why people think i would do something like that, its not as if I have suddenly become mr popular from it, the opposite infact on some websites. Intelligence is hard to guage on messageboards but i like to think im at worst, not daft and I think that shows through. there is no appreciable gain from making this up, quite a lot to lose (in terms of 10 years worth of relationships built on messageboards, not much to some people but a fair bit to others)

And Maine. 4th time of asking. What info?

Probably the info that is in the area plan designating what can and what can't be developed, it takes an act of parliament to overturn said plan(s), acts of parliament are not cheap and they do not happen overnight.

External development

The Club announced on 23 March 2004 its plans for redevelopment of the land opposite Ibrox stadium and the Albion car park. The planning

application for the Hinshelwood Estate and Albion car park sites was lodged during September 2004 and is due to be put forward for planning

approval by Glasgow City Council imminently.

I think it's a bit out of order to be giving N_L the 3rd degree over this. He doesn't appear to have an agenda beyond relaying information that he's in a position to relay. Given that he's not new to the Gers forums and people have met him etc, it would seem that it's a pretty simple case of believe it or take it with a pinch of salt and I just don't see the point in making any more of it than that. Asking him for proof is a bit OTT, but he's actually invited MF and others here to go round to his place and listen to the next call, assuming there is one.

At the end of the day though, I personally still don't believe that the Ellis deal will go through & if it does, I'll not only be shocked, but worried.

That was done and permission was granted. The club then updated its proposals in 2008 (which would need fresh planning consent) but it never progressed so there's still lots to do.
