stewarty 1,876 Posted August 24, 2010 Share Posted August 24, 2010 It appears that Weir and Levein had an agreement that he would only be called up to play if he was guaranteed to be starting the game. I'm a Scotland fan and I want the best team possible to be playing. Given the performance against Sweden, it is clear we need some experience at the back. There is no more experienced centre half playing the game, so why not? Weir has hardly missed any games in his time at Ibrox, despite his years so I am quite happy for him to play. Although Weir must have been told he will play otherwise it would be pointless calling him up.
